Serbia think that they can control Kosova economicaly, and force albanian companies close down by unfair competition,and making things produced by K-serb companies cheaper.
Thus they are willing to support this with their tax money, by thinking that kosovo will be dependent on them. but kosovo will benefit, because will enjoy cheap prices and open free markets in order to put these compaies even more under pressure, thus making belgrade spend more money. till it goes bunkrupt

Very poor imagination...this is just the continous process of propaganda towards Serbian people. Go and ask your leaders Tadic & Kostunica, they knew for a long time about the independence day and related scenarios, and have been agreed with such a solution in order to give the most democratic ever right to Serb miniority in Kosovo, something that never implemented in a country. Remember, at the end of the day, they will declare we did what we could politically and we used all the peacefull means. We can not do nothing else, but to accept Independence of Kosova for the sake of providing better life to K-Serbs minority and the fact that Serbia desire to join EU. Because isolation is smth that is not in their agenda. Believe me, the longer you Serbs cause violence and do not cooperate with USA, EU and Republic of Kosova, better for us Albanians, as we will be able to enjoy investments that otherwise would go to Serbia. The more harliners and violent you pretend to be, better for us, by no means you hurting us, but indeed, we will benefit out of it, and the only ones who would suffer are serbs.

Perfect, serbia keeps control over Trepca and Mitrovica. The albanians will whine a little to the Us but the Us will be to occupied to prepare a new war against Iran and the albanians will realize that Kosovo will be partioned and american support hade a prize... But don't be sad Kosovo albanians, Afghanistan was the first country in the world that recognized you, something to be really proud of!

There's been a large gas + oil discovery on the Albania/Kosovo border recently, so if Kosovo was partitioned both sides would prosper. BUT, the US and EU want to keep ALL of it at Serbia's expense, hence the reason for disallowing partition of Kosovo.

If common sense prevailed, the West would allow osovo to be partitioned, and Serbia would be realistic and accept that the rest of Kosovo is independent. Neither side would be happy with the result, but it would hopefully settle things down a bit and both can move onto integration in the EU.

Otherwise, it's going to be a long, painful, drawn out process with who knows what kind of ending we'll see.
