" HAVE A QUESTION FOR THE PEOPLE OF SERBIA. Why did the nations who were once part of Yugoslavia decide it is better to have their own state? Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro are all independent states today. Why did all these peoples run way from Serbia?

Dacian,

Please read again what you wrote. You did not include Kosovo in your list. So you, as a Albanian Serb, actually acknowledges that Kosovo is not an independent state. So what have you guys been celebrating about the past few days? In reality you are still a province of the Republic of Serbia despite all kinds of illegal recognitions from countries that do not give a damn about you and your course. Yugoslavia was after all not that bad. Yugoslavia might have been seperated eventually and yes Serbs liked Yugoslavia because they felt save all living in one country. Since all republics made up Yugoslavia all bear the same responsibility for the good and bad things that happened. If Milosevic revoked Kosovo's autonomy in 1989 then the other republics should have blocked that, but they did not. Tito granting Kosovo autonomy in 1974 was a huge mistake and only aimed at weakening Serbia in the future (he was a Croat). If the then EU would not have been bullied by the reunited Germany and had constructively participated in assuring that the rights of all minorities in all republics were guaranteed by law a lot of blood and suffering would have been prevented. Everybody knew that considering the experiences in WWII no Serb wanted to live in an independent Croatia or Bosnia. In the end most people that have been ethnically cleansed are Serbs and do not give me crap by stating that they deserved that. Anyway, I guess it is useless to discuss more. In the end a lot of people long back to Yugoslavia. They ran away because the EU told them. You know why, because the EU had plans to colonize the Balkans and a strong, independent country like Yugoslavia stood in their way (they did not need German products). Divide and conquer as the British so successfully applied when they once were a world power (unlike now, when they are a stooch of the US). I am happy that Solana, who headed NATO in 1999, now finally shows his real face by stating "We remain in support of the region’s European perspective, because we believe that it belongs to us, it is our region and our future territory,” It is going to be a long and hot spring and summer and I hope that some countries will have the willing and guts to save what is left of the UN. Otherwise the whole world could turn into a US created Wild West. May God prevent that from ever happening.

Am not from Serbia but suggest you to ask your american super power fellows what role they played during the break up war and if you cannot get an answer, just try to see the report that was yesterday on BN (bosnian tv) but in english, it will explain a lot of things and will prove one more time, if necessary, that wherever the US put their nose, the worst is happening. But I have a question to you, where did all the Serbs from some croatian and bosnian regions go...as far as I know a lot dissapeared on the way!! That's one of the reason why Albright continuousely vetoed any investigation about it at the UN, it would have uncovered the dirty role the US played during that war!

And why is that ZK? What was wrong with Yugoslavia? As long as Tito lived everything seemed to work out. Is it perhaps the hegemonist intentions of Serbia/Milosevic that stripped Vojvodina's and Kosova's autonomy in order to have the upper hand in Yugolavia? Or maybe to you there is nothing wrong with this act either!!

Yugoslavia was not Serbia so your question is a bit misguided.

Serbia wanted to preserve Yugoslavia but the other states wanted independence. Therefore they didn't want Yugoslavia (not Serbia).

At the moment Scotland (former YU republic) is seeking independence. They do not want to split from England (Serbia) but rather the United Kingdom (Yugoslavia). However, England (Serbia) would prefer to preserve the UK!

It is just common sense when you read it in the correct context without intentional spin.

The two messengers Solana and
Ban Ki-Moon are again repeating the orders of their
masters to impose their will on the illegal UDI of Kosovo.
Solana totally ignores the existence of Serbia by saying
that the EU mission will arrive in Kosovo with the full agreement of war criminal Thaci. It is about time that the other major UN
security council member China
back their words with their deeds. If the UN is to have any relevance in today's turbulent world both China and Russia must help to re-assert its founding principles.History will never
forgive Bush and his European
fellow travellers for their crimes in various parts of the world.

Since when is the balkan the property off solana and his war mongering states like the US, UK & Germany, sure they let somebody else do the warring part, but they light the fire.

Dangerous words from Solana which should thread lightly, cuz all it takes is an spark to relight the balkan wars.
