These measures should go a long way in making Serbia look like Iran!
(Sidi, 18 February 2008 23:34)

That is the thanks you give to Iran who are going to recognized the illegal republic of Kosovo.

All your points but one are incredulous and insidious-opening Russian bases in Serbia would send the message to the EU that Serbia means business and it would put the illegal country of Kosovo out of business.

I believe this is a good move by Serbia which shows the consequences of breaching international law in a civil way. I myself live in Australia and am disgusted what our new Prime Minister Kevin Rudd stated in regards to recognizing independence. For those who didn't know Rudd was elected for being endorsed as being less of a suck up to the US but it looks like he is just as ignorant as John Howard. I honestly beleive that Rudd himself knows nothing of the history of Kosovo. This is also a bad move for Australia who is keen to build relations with China who is strongly behind Serbia and international law.

Mr Dale,
if NATO "informed" that the innocent casualties of their illegal bombings (like in Nis, or NS) was Milosevic's fault,
then i guess it would be equivalent to say that Mr Bush is responsible for any harm that is done to americans in Serbia.

Thats what happens when we have a war (a war that your governments started).

P.S.
I see you with full sympathy
but thats how propaganda/wars work.

As about TEXAS being so cool and different from the rest of USA, then go and make a separative party. Russia will be glad to help.

After reading your recent messages now I believe that you are a Swiss. For you money is everything. Did you ever give? Well I have bad news for you. The EU will give to Kosova and you will be an impuissant spectator to it.
(Joe, 19 February 2008 02:25)

Great that you find out that am a Swiss, whether am giving, as a matter of fact am the incoming President of a Rotary club, if you know what it is...and yes am dedicating part of my time and also raising funds for people that really need it. Once thing is sure, I can't and will never recognize anything that was done outside of the principal of laws, and sorry to say, but what happened last sunday is not acceptable for anyone that respect this very simple principle!
If you are so smart and willing to help your region, then join a local Rotary club and dedicate your time to it, but of course you are not going to be paid for it!
Alternatively ask all your K-albanians fellows in switzerland to come back (about 200 thousands) and prove that they really are true patriots and not for just a 'party', see how succesfull you'll be to get them out from confortable switzerland! And why not asking them to participe in a donours' conference, you see they are so many things you can do for your region (and that you could have done for the last 10 years under the proctection of KFOR) instead of spending your time in pitching on people's head that do not accept to be directed by dirty politics and US interpretation of laws! By the way, you know what Ban Ki-moon,(UN secretary) answered to the question "is it a legal or an illegal act?" "well, am not here to say whether it is legal or illegal", so
upto everyone to judge what it really means....

I am an american living and working in Serbia. I am the Director of a Consulting Company that also bears my name.

I must say that for the first time in my life I am almost ashamed to say that I am american however, on the other hand I am proud to say I am TEXAN.

I came to Serbia by choice, MY CHOICE. Since I have been here I have come to know and love the country and the people. Like Texans they are very proud and most of them will make a deal simply on your word. Just like Texas.

I disagreed with the whole process that has taken place in Kosovo. However, I must also disagree with comments made here about closing American companies or those companies from countries that recognize Kosovo. This would only hurt Serbia. Think of the jobs that such a move would cost and the lives of the families that affect. Thousands and Thoussands.

Holligans attacked several locations and destroyed property! SERBIAN PROPERTY not foreign! They wear Nike and Addidas cloths and shoes. I as an american wear cloths that have been produced in Serbia (Except for my Stetson). I try to give back to the community and country that has given me a chance. Serbia has done that.

Yes, my wife is Serbian and she is proud of that. I support her and her country as I do my own. i do not agree with everythinig my government does. If I did I would be in politics!!!

I am a Security Professional and as such I believe that the recognition of Kosovo in such a manner only promotes instability.

But I also ask all readers to show restraint and not provoke nor promote violence. This is only seen in the media and a very bad and false image of the Serbian people is broadcasted.

I have some policy recommendations for the Serb Government:

1. Recall all ambassadors and close down all embassies.

2. Organize huge rallies where you burn the flags of Western States as well as effigies of their leaders.

3. Destroy all mosques in Belgrade, and paint graffiti in their ruins, such as "Slaughter Albanians" etc.

4. Invite Russia and China to build military bases all over Serbia, and make Russian and Chinese mandatory foreign languages in Serb schools.

5. Ban MTV from Serbian airwaves because it represents the Great Satan...America.

6. Shut down all American companies in Serbia, while at the same time passing a binding resolution that they may not relocate to Kosova or Albania.

7. Replace liberal media outlets like B92, who are inevitably pro-Albanian and pro West, with media outlets ran by Mira Markovic.

These measures should go a long way in making Serbia look like Iran!

And if you read between the lines of all comments made by these coward politicians you will notice that they issued a text trying to minimize their responsibilities by hiding behing a number of ridiculous statements and counter-statements.
For the fist time EU tried to show to the US that they have a strong comon policy, result, a disaster and every disaster has a cost, this one is 1 billion Euros just committed on behalf of the tax payers! Bravo, well done

This is unbelievable - after all that the Serbian people have done for Europe, is this how they are paying you back? And recalling the ambassador from the U.S. is supposed to do what again? Come on people - the United States does not really care that Serbia's ambassador is taking a vacation for a couple of days in his beautiful country. If you really want to protest, you should close down the embassy completely.

I never met a Dutch being so weak in writing and expressing in English??? On the other hand I, as an Albanian I really don’t think it is a wise move by Serbia’s government to recall any of its ambassadors in the countries that recognizes Kosovas independence, honestly. Firstly because there will be a hundred of them and recalling them will isolate Serbia itself while not harming anyone else, secondly there will be no “positive” result as non of the countries will not, because of such a move of the Serbia, recall its recognition. So what is the point then…
