"Europeans are making deadly mistake. Oh, what a summer we shall have."

Once you break one law you break all laws. Given its importance 1244 should not be broken by the EU. However, once 1244 is broken then anything can (and will) happen.

It seems now that law is not what is agreed, signed and documented - law is what can be enforced. That is a very poor principle for the EU to follow. Serbia should join the EU - but under terms that it can agree with.

Obviously Solana does not care about Serbia's concerns. He is hoping that enough Serbs are fed up enough with the situation that they will let Kosovo go and that they will then live with the humiliation - that cannot be guaranteed in the long term however.

I am not sure however that he will be able to stop a split in Kosovo or further ethnic cleansing of Serbs. His claim that this will bring stability is not proven and the precedent being set is very dangerous.

"It" isn't yours either if you need an outside force to govern. Obviously you were absent that day in school.

One key point to this entire situation is that KosovO is still Serbian land. When you have a clear cut date that is set in stone, then you will have every right to say what you wish, to date, it's been nothing but hot air - just as your commentary, buddy.

"prepared in detail and well analyzed."

the eu does not know the meaning of the word(s). they proved it just last week.

'We think that the European Union has an obligation to continue to assist the process of the stabilization of the region.'

me thinks so too :) but you're not doing it. you miss knowledge, talent, insight, skill and inspiration for anything of the kind.
and please, please stop telling me what i voted for when i voted for tadic. do not take us for granted.

Lets hope this is the case GSP.

Fortunetly we do not have long to wait to find out - next week we will see if Solana understood the clear implications that Tadic made very clear or will it be Tadic will be ignored et tu Solana?

Ironic really that Solana points out Serbia's obligations while he has the audacity to continue suggesting imposed illegal folly!!!

Once again many "anon officials" are stating the Russians will not react - oh dear where have the "west" ended up the last time they insisted that "they know best" ?

Oh what a tangled web we weave....

Well, how does he think the citizens of Serbia feel - stuck between a rock and a hard place? We are getting it from outside, inside and every side at the moment.
bganon,

He does not know becuase he does not think about it and he certainly does not give a damn. All he and his alikes think is how to implement the agenda as smoother as possible.

Our democratic leaders are being naive to trust friendly Europeans but I give our leaders few months max. for sobering.

Europeans are making deadly mistake. Oh, what a summer we shall have.

Well I'm looking for EU support to Serbia rather than criticism. Its not as if we dont know the problems that we are facing. And its not as if Mr Solana is an innocent bystander giving us his assesment - he can pursue active policies to help Serbia.

Perhaps he feels exasperated. Well, how does he think the citizens of Serbia feel - stuck between a rock and a hard place? We are getting it from outside, inside and every side at the moment.

It would be nice if on one issue at least we could be cut a bit of slack.

Nice of Javier to state that there isn't a firm date as well as the potential of the EU troops to enter KosovO. Just another pacification ploy by the EU to keep the invaders at bay.

Face it, if it hasn't happened yet, it won't! Although there are a great number of persons, countries as well as leaders against the Russian veto, they are beginning to realize that this would be a grave error that would have considerable reprocussions.
