Koštunica: Kosovo has no price

I would imagine that up to recently the US, Germany and others would have viewed Tadic and Kostunica in terms of the old Hollywood "Good Cop, Bad Cop" scenario - Good Cop (Tadic) being the nice moderate while Bad Cop (Kostunica) is the evil hardliner.

Based on recent statements by both of these men, the Yanks and their allies are now facing a "Bad Cop, Very Bad Cop" scenario.

Long may it last.

Well... sonds very patriotic what koshtunica says. But how realistic is it?! All EU (cyprys exluded)and US and most of UN states aproove Kosovo indipendence. And what he says is that they are against the princples they stand on. Come on ... come on koshtunica.this reminds me of Enver Hoxha. He was always stating that WE are the righteous, OTHERS are wrong. Look who supports you my god...!!!! Its Russia, China, Cuba the less democratic countries in the world or some other scared countries. What about those Albanian separatists???? Have a better look Mr. Koshtunica. All Albanians living in Kosovo that wants to go away from your country. Because they want to manage themselves the country they have been living in from thousands years. Because the Serbian government of years ago (Yugolsavia) was not able to integrate them as the other nationalities (that left by the way) and even killed and sent them away from their homes. How do you think you will be able to manage that area and those Albanian "separatist" if "a miracle" happens and nobody will support them for indipendence. I suppose that you yourself do not believe on what you say... The world has changed several times. Changed in the begining of the century when you were supported by the same great powers to take Kosova away from Albania and now its changing back to where it was. I suppose it is painful but thats a fact and a reality. It is up to you (and others that back you) not to make it more painful and a disaster for the Serbs that have already had many painful experiences because of leaders like yourself. Serbs and all of us in the region need some peace for god sake. All of us need some sustainibilty that might help us generate plans and dreams to prosper this region blessed by nature or god but damned by it own leaders. Take a break Mr. Koshtunica and think about the consequences of your actions!

But as Kostunica said, this is a time of force and Serbia resisted many forces and comparing the fact that Belgrade rose 38 times from the ashes this looks like minor thing that we are going thru at the moment. But we will overcome this attempt of robbery as well because time for the law and justice is about to come, sooner than later.

Actually none is asking you anything, because the answer is known..It involves islamic terrorism (that makes Albanians laugh every time it is mentioned). completly agree with the analogy - hardly surprising that Tadic as you put is now "bad cop" - what else could be expected when within less then 24 hours of his election the EU "friends" facade slipped totally and stabbed him in the back - Kostunica was totally justified with his stance and I hope he didn't say told you so because it was so obvioulsy the wrong message!

- Serbia is keeping no-one hostage - if it's not to someones liking they need not steal Serbian territory in an attempt to illegally create a non existant state totally Dependent upon outside aid and military to prop it up!!!

Exactly, this is why you are being offered a great deal to rule over yourselves. Rhetoric such as "being held hostage," does not cut it anymore. Ultimately you will have your autonomy, within the sovereign state of Serbia. If that is not enough, you can enjoy the trappings of a full nation state within Albania. Bon Voyage!

One thing everyone should know in few weeks kosovo is going to be accepted as a new state from at least 100 states later on proberbly in a year is gonna be accepted from more then 150states, my point, is we don't need to be recognized by states like QIPRO or CUBA not even Romania LOL.
Anyway Im wondering in 7 days what they goanna say, one more thing what about if and there is good chance for kosov with all USA help to to be part of EU before Serbia.

I heard this expression almost a decade ago with only one difference. It was Milosevic instead of Kostunica. Way to go!!!!

I guess that you mean Turk Empire in 13-19 century. You know who is similar with it? It is Serbian Empire in 12 century its borders where way south in Arta, Greece. And they run out but not completely. We hope one day that they do at least in 10 century borders.

There are a couple of point I want to make.
First, they didn’t hand over Bosnia to Muslims, there is no Muslim nation. Those that called themselves “Muslim” are Slavs with religion of Islam. The religion cannot make a nation. This is wrong, and Albanians understand this better then any nation in the world. We have three religion but we are one nation. Treating other religion as a different entity was Serbs problem and that made you taste your own medicine.
Second, none wants to dismember Serbia. UK, France and Germany are not entering their dark and most shameful days in recent history, they are ending it. They have understood that taking a freedom away from any nation is wrong and that’s way they will help Kosovo to set FREE. End of Serb colonialism in Balkan should have been done since in 1878 and 1913, but they didn’t and they are correcting a biggest injustice made to Albanians, separating it territories in 6 countries. Setting Kosovo free is the first step.

despite these rather imature Albanian and Serbian nationalistic rants, Kostunica is raising some very important questions pertaining to International law.
Hopefully the forum on this channel can begin addressing them, and then a mature coversation can begin.

When US were discussing Kosovo future they understood that the only solution for it was independence and to contribute the peace in Balkan, Washington analysts suggested $3 billion in form of aids and support.
EU had a different approach regarding Kosovo status and peace in Balkan suggesting political, economical and speeding up the region integration in EU and monitoring democracy in Serbia and Kosovo as separate independent countries, emphasizing Serb minority rights and church protection in Kosovo.
Now that Kostunica said that Kosovo has no price, either US or EU are not going to give back anything. 
