Oh really, and in what legal bases does Russia still keep Kuril Islands under his occupation, islands stolen from Japony at the end of WW2? America occupated entire Japan then, but didn't kept a single part of it. I just never thought I'll live long enough to weatness Russia defends International Law???!!!!

Frankly, I am getting sick of all this talk of how it is illegal to do this and that.

The law is worth northing unless it is enforced. Now what we need to hear is how is this law going to be enforced.

It's like you have someone robbing your house and all you can do is tell them that what they are doing is illegal. Unless you can call the police and to enforce that law you might as well get out of the thief's way.

In this case, it looks like the police are in bed with the criminal.

seems like the kids in here still believe in that "Russia will back down before the one and only global superpower" nonsense...

Russia is very likely just looking forward to demonstrate what it can do about the current issue...

and you, my dear friends, will be the ones to get an direct impression of their influence.

the only thing I ask myself is whether they just want to provoke ....or whether they really believe what they are writing here...

Russia is missing the very point that the US ís still the world police, they did it silently when most of EU members had their doubts for unilateral decleration and now have the backing by all of them, well exclude Romania and Cypres. They are irrelevant and they wouldnt eitherway contribute much for that matter. Putin thought he would leave as a winner on this process aswell, seems Bush will take this home...

cheers!

Russia you are hopeless. You had a veto at UNSC and things are moving well without you. That ought to teach you a lesson. Keep quiet and pump some more gas. Maybe your words will be weightier in the future.

Russia says this, Russia says that, like it matters what Russia says anyway. Their red line in Kosovo was erased by the United States and Europe a long time ago. The Europeans are not saying much but actually doing what they planned and that is give Kosova independence regardless of what a few allies of Serbia say at all, they are empty words if anything at all. Serbia should let go of Kosovo and move forward to joining the Euro-Union and be among nations that promote democracy around the world, all Russia is doing is making a lot of promises to Serbia and Serbia is selling everything to Russia thinking it will stop the independence of Kosova, but it will not. Kosovo will have it's independence very soon...in days!
