To Arlinda,

It is perculiar that you call Russians irresponsble. Unlike Americans, Russians have not broken the international law, theyhave not illegaly occupied 2 countries while waging a bloody war in south of their continent.
They have also not bombed a sovergin country back to the stone age, because Putin couldn't keep it in his pants.

Want to see irresponsible? Pay attention to the Empire America.

If America can show blatant desperation for mentaining the bigest military base in Europe, Russia can show favouritism to Serbia.

Also understand that America does not care for Albanians.
One can forgive statement that Russia cares for Serbia, being a traditional allies and all, regarldess of weather it is true.
And I know as much as you would like to believe, American sympathy will never be with Albanians. As long as they need you, you'll be used. Once you pass your sell by date (and its nearing) you will be forgotten.
For referance of past experiences speak to Taliban, Osama Bin Laden and SAddam Hussein. All loved and supported and financed by USA, until...

Noel, you wrote "Kosova within weeks will become the newest state in Europe and together with Albania will be two Albanian States in Europe. Congratulations to Tadic BTW."

Nothing could be more wrong Noel! The simple fact that they MIGHT anounce their so called independence does NOT make them a independent country.

The criterias for becoming a "real" country is UN recognition and that is not going to happen. You will still be occupied by Nato and ruled by Brussels, like it or not. The fat cats in Pristina will probably continue to enrich themselvs a few years and economic evolution will stall since no one would invest in crime infested Kosovo where instablilty is a rule.

amazing grace: once i was lost, and now i am found... serbia has become lost, many times, and today the (bare) majority are attempting to "find" it, to find some kind of normal center. we, the pro-independence people, are also seeking to "find" our freedom and self-determination in kosova. you cannot have freedom, and concurrently contuine to rule and oppress kosova, it doesn't work that way. serbia has an enormous and challenging agenda on its plate, without even mentioning kosova. then get to it, to find freedom and justice for all people (not just serbs!!!!) within yr on borders -- and for us, we must do the same for all people inside kosova. for our futre's sake, let my people go!

EA, I'm sure the world is shaking in their boots at the prospect of humiliating the mighty K-Albanians and their KLA terrorist leaders.

At the end of the day, Serbia will always be more important to Europe than a bunch of unhappy Albanians who don't deserve to be rewarded for their agression against the non Albanian population.

(peggy, 3 February 2008 21:05)

This is simple arrogance coming from you Peggy.
This is what you called once in one of your comments -- clouded rubbish.
With two simple sentences you managed to insult a nation, and put forward a hypothesis that makes no sense.
Is this a gift you have, or you relay work hard in achieving that?
Congratulation, you passed the "nationalist seminar" with flying colors.
And please, don’t even try saying that I am twisting your words (as you have done in the past).

On your first point, no one will ever humiliate us, because we know who we are and we don't let ourselves to be humiliated.

On your second paragraph you are WRONG. Haven't you still understood why Kosovo is independent? And Also Montenegro and other ex-Yugos? BEcause everyone should be the same, no one is worthless, on one is more important than the other. What kind of country is that which creates preferentialism before the law for it's different citizens' groups? We are independent because we respect ourselves too much to be in a state that takes us for granted and has allowed hatred to be openly manifestated among its citizens! Nontheless SErbs are much different than 10 years ago. Keep with the progress and try not to stumble in old pitfalls again.
Politically Serbia is 100 years behind Albania in democracy. I am happy that today SErbs chose to make a big step forward!

"I have told my collocutors from the West many times: you must not humiliate Serbs."
Then why does he speak in terms of losing and winning? "It is not about losing and winning. Kosovo will become independent shortly, so then SErbs according to him will "lose"? I think Russians are very irresponsible and unemancipated. intead of helping Serbs, who have been in a delicate position for the past 20 years, they are making things worse. Is it intentional? Do they want conflict? Russians are masters of self victimization. I remember that on the same day Putin went to Tehran (to help Iran with nuclear technology)later he said that he is angry at the west because they didn't help Russia in the 90s. Throwing the stone and hiding the hand. Russia is not doing what is best for Serbs, especially on this important and decisive day for them, that they hopefully put the past behind! No one wants to "humiliate" the Serbs! Not even Albanians. Remember to distance yourself from wrongdoers. Nato bombed a rogue regime in 99, not the Serbs! The whole world knows it! Fortunately that happened, and a holocaust that could have ruined the Balkans forever was avoided! Serbia needs a type of Marshal Plan and support from everyone so that it doesn't fall prey to old demons again. Hatred can spring up everywhere, no one is immuned from it. The most civilized country in the world, the capital of culture, Austria-Germany fell into nazism and hatred flourished in every mechanism of the state. Unfortunately, Yugoslavia, once rich and prosperous was ground of an explosion of hatred as well. Albanians aren't happy of what happened in the Balkans in the last 20 years at all. We were the only country in Europe where none of the Ally forces marched in, and we still accepted on our will to be with the communist east. Albanians in Kosovo learned Serbian and tried to integrate into the society. Why you thought Albanians in Kosovo didn't "love"(i dare say) Yugoslavia as their country? But we didn't share the same language/history/culture with them and we would never be accepted. Even if it were the most peaceful country in the world, Kosovo today would still demand independence. We see Yugoslavia and Serbian-Albanian relations, the conflicts, as a personal failure as well, deep down. You can't say that we didn't at least try to gain sympathy from Slavic Eastern Europe. It didn't work, so we go back to where we were before. Our flag is the flag of Byzantium. One head represents Rome, the other Byzant, btrothers split in half. Rome had the color purple, Byzant the red, and then later White-Russia the White.
Now that the final puzzle of Yugoslavia will be defined, we can at least rejoice in a new era, a different future in character all together. Deep down it is really sad, but this is how it needs to be because of nationalism. Even God destroyed the tower of Babel because he didn't want all people to speak one language and divided people into many nations.

With resolution 1244 in force new Serbian generation will certainly correct the injustice. The world changes each day and that should be kept in mind and be clear to all of us. That is why the EU is trying to break Serbia to give its signature as well as to avoid chain reaction since there is no sui generis case.

He is worried more about the Serbian "humiliation" rather than putting things and solving this historical issue created by Russia's policies of the past. The Russian ambassador is not worried about the Kosovar Albanian's "humiliation" should they not get the full independence from Serbia once and for all. Everyone should know why.
The loss of Kosova is because of the state policy of Serbia against ethnic Albanian of Kosova. That is the real Truth. If the exposing of that truth means "humiliation" we can't that be accepted by the public?

Lost what!?!?,when you lose something,is something u have in use or just own...Serbia didn't care for Kosova before..no investment no project no strategy..so lost what!!!Kosova had autonomy, now "independence",some more money will circulate and same story, problems and problems etc..
After all they will be forever neighbors...if they going to be smart to use same experience from France and Germany relationship improve after II world war, will deserve to name them European.

Waw, whats up with this humiliation concept here?
Jiri Dinstbier made the same comment about humiliation.
Seems to me that the russians and this J. Dinstbier working in concert.
Hey about us being humiliated since 1912 when Kosova was given to Serbia.
Rogozin, you and Jiri Dinstbier, are you two guys somehow genetically connected? what a stupid question from me, they should be, they both are slavs.
Rogozin you should feel humiliated since you lost the cold war.
Nowdays we should be careful, because the aggressors might feel humiliated, that's pathetic.
We should not tried Milosevic for crimes against humanity, that was humiliating process to him.
Give us a break.

Glad to see Dmitry supporting the Serbs so strongly. Really now, why should Albanians have two countries? Who else has two countries?

Kosova must become independence NOW.
Noël, London, UK

Northern Ireland and Basque Territory first then Kosovo. What's good for the goose...Secondly, how can this so called new country ever have a seat at the UN when 1244 is still in place??? Half of the permanent members of the UNSC will never recognise it. The whole things a sham!!

There are four numbers:

"ONE-TWO-FOUR-FOUR"

These numbers are a shortcut to a longer phrase. That phrase is:

"A flying formation of pigs will hand to the 'snake' the recognition of his illegal 'country' by U.N. and the WHOLE E.U. in person."
