Can any of you geniuses tell me who, in their right mind, would apply for the job of policing an ethnically divided province where bombs are used? As an American, I can assure you that nobody in America volunteers for peacekeeping duties. American soldiers are ordered into such places. This articles does not say how many people have applied for the jobs.

Ahmet, you of all people should know that the EU can, and will, hire whoever it likes to run Kosovo. Pristina can't say anything against it. So if a Serb, an Albanian, a Croat, or a penguin, comes in, you've got to deal with it.

This shouldnt be an Ethnicity thing, here they go again making nationalism a big deal. The officers should be from any country willing to participate. As for the dailys comment.

Serbs already work as Police officers in Kosovo, I've seen some with my own eyes, I dont think anyone would have a problem with a Serb being an official.

Serbs are not behind barbed wires. Albanians hardly have any focus on them and you're comment really makes Albanians seem like savages.

I agree with Ahmet Isufi because if that be the case we could fill those 1300+ positions by hiring Albanians (Albania). The IC isn't as dumb as Politika would prefer the IC to be.

Ahmet Isufi,

You are so tolerant person that I admire you. You cannot even digest the factual possibility of some Serb be a part of the EU mission. I cannot imagine how tolerant you are or would be with those poor Serbs behind barbed wires.
Let me tell you the fact as you may not know that Serbs with the EU passports or even with no EU passports (such is in this case) can be sent and involved in the EU mission in Kosovo. Poor you, you have no idea how many Serbs with the EU passports, but as a UN mission staff, have been working in Kosovo while I was till there.

"Theoretically, a Serb with a Croatian passport could qualify for the job, the daily writes".
I would like to know the source of this sentence, which is not going to work. EU is not stupid to hire a Serb to work as EU Police officer. Local staff yes but not on international level.
