RFI: EU still divided

The EU has once again shown that it cannot adopt a united position, says Radio France International.

Well, at least the US/EU are admitting direct interference in these elections. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it ends up counter productive.

I had no preferred candidate before the election but I am leaning towards Nikolic now after seeing all the dirty tricks being dished out (even here on B92). It makes Tadic look a little desperate.

Nikolic certainly had the advantage in round one and Kostunica doesn't seem willing to offer immediate support either.

OK, so if Nikolic wins, the Albanians will immediately declare independence but if not, then they will wait, what, a week or two? Not a big difference really, is it?

The big difference I see is that the EU risks losing Serbia so they will have to tread very carefully. I think they have already caused enough damage if Nikolic wins.

Time will tell!
