Well Kostunica, how much money did Putin and Gunvor pay you for this deal? Media should launch an investigation into this, because the Putin-Kostunica powers will obviously not do so themselves. Just like Kostunica refused to be investigated in connection with the murder of the late Djindjic.

Good bless corruption.

"We will make sure that Kosova first becomes independent and then joins the EU. The EU mission is precisly that if you didn't know.
(Noel, London, UK, 26 January 2008 20:21) "

No. The EU is hoping and praying that no violence will break out in Kosovo again if and when it takes over the civilian mission from UNMIK. It is not looking so far into the future about Kosovo's EU entry. But Pristina better beg Moscow (and by extension Belgrade) to let it enter the UN first .... in case you haven't noticed, the EU is an association of UN-recognised independent states. No reason for the EU to change this membership practice, especially with a lack of consensus in EU about Pristina's independence quest. In fact I kind of suspect EU will use Kosovo being a non-UN member as an excuse to avoid expanding further.

It is clear that the srbijan people are the biggest losers in this deal. They sold our oil just to win election and to stay in power.

Your "kosova" will never enter the EU I am more than 100% sure of that.

If Tadic wins Serbia will be in the EU by 2012 and will not allow any rogue states such as "kosova" to join, simple as that my friend EA.

Serbia has excellent trade agreements and cooperation with the Russian but will also have the EU, the best of both worlds allowing it to excell it's economy to a regional leader.
(Vuk, 26 January 2008 16:26)

Vuk in 8 years we have the majority of people who think Kosova will become independent (Serbs). You also had a 5.6% presidential candidate who supported an independent Kosova. 2012 is 4 years away or about half the time that has passed. By that time, the Serbs will realize that Kosova was dramatized in order to divert attention from real problems. Change will come, and the people will change their attitudes.

Serbia traded her oil industry for Russian support to keep Kosovo. Unfortunately most likely Serbia will lose her oil industry and Kosovo.

The Serb government should have postponed the oil deal until after the Presidential elections like Kosovo is postponing independence. Then Serbia could have at least kept her oil, since Russia is not going to be able to keep Kosovo.

Good luck to Serbia within the Russian Federation.
One more reason why Kosova must be fully independent from Serbia because Albanians see themselves part of European Union.
(EA, 26 January 2008 14:47)

I can assure you that never Albania, Turkey or Kosovo (if some day gets indepedence) will be parts of EU.
Serbia might be some day.

EA,

Yes good luck to us with Russian Federation. I must admit that I prefer to be with someone who did not use force against me than with someone who used heavy force against me. You do realize that the one must be rally of slimy and servile character to forgive and smile to its satraps. Serbs are the people that do forgive but do not forget. I prefer to be with Russia that never used force against us while the USA and the EU as USA's obedient did use. Maybe Russia is not the best solution for us and our problems but Russia is the only country we have at the moment that stays firmly with us and small countries always must pay for the support in any form. I hope you are aware that there is no any love or affection between the countries when it comes to politics and interests. We choose Russia (there was common interest) and that was the moral decision as they did not threw their bombs all over Serbia. Should we award the EU or USA for bombing us and let them after all buy all our state assets for basically free of charge while ripping away a part of our country. Don't think so
