I don't know where you're getting your information from, but you should read more detail about what happened. Srebrenica was not the only mass murder in Bosnia, and Serbs were not the only murderers. All sides carried out terrible crimes - it was a civil war. I am not justifying any of these crimes.
In Srebrenica the Dutch troops disarmed the local population, guaranteed their security and then stood by while the slaughters took place. At no point was there the simplistic option to 'kill the Serbs'.
My point is that the EU ideal is of a community of independent states co-operating together to the benefit of everyone. This will naturally involve centralised decision making to some extent but national parliaments still retain a large degree of autonomy. Now Germany and France especially are trying to dilute that autonomy and centralise nearly all decision making with few veto powers by national parliaments. Countries like Ireland and many others would simply become the far-flung provinces of a superstate controlled by the Germans, French and to some extent British. This is not what I signed up to.
By the way, you should brush up on your facts. Ireland gets damn all money from the EU anymore.

That why they through him away like a rotten lemon. That way Yugoslavia ended in this way. If Serbia has so much to give to Kosovo, why not letting them become independent and then start building trust. At some point they will probably understand benefits they will have closing tails with Serbia and then large possibilities of economic, cultural and political agreements may become reality and union as well. Balkans Union? Are you tempted? If France Germany and UK achieved that, why not Albanians, Serbs, Croats, Greeks and the others?

All sides carried out terrible crimes - it was a civil war. I am not justifying any of these crimes.
In Srebrenica the Dutch troops disarmed the local population, guaranteed their security and then stood by while the slaughters took place. At no point was there the simplistic option to 'kill the Serbs'.
