Ah, but kate, I am pro-US ;-).
However,, Sarkozy has definite problems. I think he'll bottle reforming the French economy. France could do a lot better - it's firms generally do very well overseas but are stifled in there own country. But as a Brit, fr purely 'nationalistic' purposes of not wanting competition, it doesn't bother me too much if he doesn't manage it.

Mr Chirac and Mr Miteran were rank, a first class politicans. Kouchner, oh please give me a break. I have seen how much he did in Kosovo while ran the administration.

Bruce - You have a point, but I still think they leave a lot to be desired. They come across as having giant egos nd Sarkozy is much more pro US than part of Europe.

I don't know what would be worse - spending time with Bernard Kouchner or Sarkozy. Poor France at the moment - it reminds me of the Bliar govt c. 1999.
