KS, you might not like what I say, but it is fact. The Albanian government during WWII allied itself with Nazi Germany in an attempt to gain Kosovo as a part of its territory. It failed and was complicit in the Holocaust by its acts. You also like to seem to punish the entire Serbian nation for the acts of its leaders. That is what happened after WWII. Guilty nations were punished and the allies were compensated. I know the truth sometime is painful to deal with, but you seem to like to rub the loss of Kosovo in the face of the Serbs here. If you can dish it out, you better be willing to take it also.

You should watch what you wish for as some of your comments made it through.

You're being a bit sensitive. The commentary section of B92 is for ALL to post & they ARE censored - trust me on that.

What's the matter - can't handle the truth? Keep your friends close & your enemies closer - in this case we (the SERBS) have NO CHOICE!

At the moment we may expect more countries like Latvia against the independent Kosovo, but this will change when other countries recognize Kosova as a new state. This will change very shortly after the first contry does recognize first. The last will be Serbia but not very long. You may stick to it but there will be 'others' in your behalf which they will do.You will find after couple years. It is call politics.

Now that’s a nice wish.
All you have to do Mr Jeremic is right it down, send it to the North Pole and pray the Russians haven’t scared Santa away.

Kosovo is Serbian. Read UN Resolution 1244. It was never part of Albania, except when it was invaded by the Nazi-allied Albanian government that participated in the genocide of 6 million Jews.

Ahmet,

Kosovo is Serbian. Read UN Resolution 1244. It was never part of Albania, except when it was invaded by the Nazi-allied Albanian government that participated in the genocide of 6 million Jews. I think justice prevailed then.

I also suggest using spell check. Some commentators are hard to understand sometimes.

It would seem the "few" EU states are getting messages from others within the EU that "negotiated" settelement is the only way to resolve the Gordian knot!

"Latvian President Valdis Zatlis stressed the need for a negotiated settlement in the Kosovo dispute Tuesday on the final day of a two-day visit to Berlin."
http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/176899,latvias-zatlers-urges-diplomatic-kosovo-solution-on-berlin-visit.html
Hardly surprising given that Latvia has 28% ethnic russians who could just as equally use the Kosovo precedent!

One wonders who else within the EU (beyond Slovakia, Cyprus, Romania, Hungary, Spain, Greece, now Latvia) has been telling the "few" that there is no concensus what so ever for their US inspired impositional solution?

I guess Thaci will keep up with his predecessors mantra - "we have been promised it will all happen very soon" - yes right keep dreaming !!!

I very much doubt that the EU will make any decision on its mission come the 28th Jan given they have no legal basis for it. They (EU) will tell Thaci et al that they are holding off till the Serbian elections are over. But what then after that oh yes the Spanish elections (9th March) and of course it wont happen in March since Russia holds the UN Presidency, April is just for fools, May well local elections will be held in Serbia so best not to then, June best to wait till France takes on the Presidency of the EU next month, July oh well thats holiday season for the EU technocrats - hey what about December 20008!!!

Nikolić victory will strength the Serbia and logically will strength the Serbian economy and defense. We don’t need EU or US. Vote for Nicolić and not for someone that is just a shadow of Koštunica and EU.

You sound worste then radicals my dear Princip. UE and US arenot taking away anything from Serbia that is theirs.Kosova is not part of Serbia and never will be. You are looking for wealth of natural resources that Kosova has it. You don;t care for people that live in Kosova. Finally the western powers came to its sence and relized the injustice done to Albanians and finally justice is prevailing. No more no less.

Princip, UK

Jeremic needs to start being stronger in the resolve with the EU - how are Serbians to believe that the EU are Friends and want the EU when it acts at the bidding of the US as a bully in demanding that Serbia be partitioned ?

Is the EU a friend or Bully ?

I am sure that the Serbian electorate will make their choice dependent on this in mind.
