So the EU wants Serbia. Nice way of showing it.

First I beat you up and tell you who your boss is, then you join my gang and if you don't join my gang I will beat you some more and tell you it's all your fault.

Olf, spare us your advice for Serbia. They know what is best for them and don't need you to tell them that the clock is ticking.

Maybe the clock is ticking for you. You are just waking up to the fact that Kosovo is not going to be given away so you want to convince the Serbs that joining the EU and giving Kosovo is good for them.

Good luck with that one.

All of a sudden, when serbia is leaning towards Russia does EU want Serbia. Russia will build 2 bases, 1 in serbia 1 in bosnia, they have bought NIS, lets see who is going to bomb Serbia again. Long live Putin.

Solana is a man who changes
his mind seven days a week.
Anything he says shouldn't
be taken serously because he
is just a messenger man . The
real decisions are taken

Serbia should not lose time and join EU since this is what majority want.

I think that Serbia is in no position to put EU conditions like sovgreignity etc.

Take te train people and join the EU for better or worse, there is no escape only prolongation.

Many ih here say to treat Serba as equal to which I agree but, are you equal major EU countries so theycan treat you equal.

Than, Kosova issue and more importanly the heros, Mladic and many others that roam streets of Serbia as kings are on the way of equality.

Serbian posters, you will be treated equal once you treat the others equal, e.i Romas, K-Serbs in Serbia, Krajina Serbs, Albaian in the Valley, Bosniacs. It feels really bad to be treated as not equal no?

Romania again put forth their viewpoint;

"A solution to the Kosovo issue should be found in light of the principles of the international law currently in force, Romanian Foreign Minister Adrian Cioroianu stressed on Tuesday. "

I very much doubt any joint/unified decision can be made within the EU which would satisfy the US bidding and as such it becomes clearer day by day that Serbia's sovereignty will not be violated irrespective of the US and "few" EU wish and false promises.

I guess the EU need to clarify their position and stop giving false hopes to the US's puppets!

Wow is it nearly the end of January already - seems like 10th December was just yesterday!!! What still no Illegal Declaration of Dependence!!!

Princip, you're right on the spot with your comment. Treat Serbia like a respected partner, frame your Kosovo solution in a way that is agreeable (or at the very least acceptible) to Belgrade, and Serbia will beat a path to Brussels' door without any hesitation.

more lies form the west one day they don't want serbia and the next they do is it because they fear Russia as getting stronger like so many others that no one cares for the puny west anymore. and i mean the government not the people of the west as in citizens because we do see the people as seeing through the western governments

Solana should therefore get the EU diplomats to involve themselves more closely in Serbia's concerns about Kosovo - there is scope for creative diplomacy.

Solana,

the question is do you want a Sovereign and integral Serbia ?

Respect Serbia's Sovereignity and territorial integity and then the Serbian electorate will be only too happy to ensure Tadic continues otherwise they will question who needs friends that act as bullies and which Tadic is weak to challenge!
