Hungarian candidate to condition support for Tadić

Because Serbia's road to the EU passes through Novi Sad and not Pristina, I'm curious to hear what the manifesto was.

Its good that he ran and got involved and is smart to back Tadic. Knowing that Tadic will lead Serbia into the future. Nikolic will only push Serbia backwards. I like his atitude in defending Serbia but that atitude will get Serbia nowhere right now. We need to look to the future and move on that & keep Kosovo through legal channels not force. & Nicolic wants force. If the minorities are threaten then a defensive form of force is needed to protect them at least in the north. & I think even Tadic will act on it.

I am curious, too. All I did find was the 12-point progam of VMSZ (N.B.: historically, any significant political proclomation in Hungary has to have 12 points, that is since March 15, 1848)

Here is the scoop:

1) Euroatlantic integration. (Comment: controversal topic, the support of EU-integration is strong with some sourness. I feel, the support of "atlantic" integration is just sour)

The central topic is the abolishing of visa, good relationship with all neighbors, availability of funds given to EU integration process.

2) Cooperation with Hague.

3) Peaceful solution in Kosovo and Metohija. (Precise wording: "Koszovó és Metóhia", notice the spelling Pásztor uses and full name /Metóhia is there/, how it's spelled). He thinks, territorial autonomy wold be the best to ensure staying of non-Albanian population in K&M. He is supporting negotiations. He also saying, if during negotiations a good compromise would be achieved, such compromises should be custom-tailored to other ethnic minorities of Serbia.

4) Defending the constitution and law; he also expects, the constitution and law should be modified to ensure better representation of minorities in Serbian parliament and abolishing some rulings which put Hungarians at disadvantage.

5) Professional army, no draft.

6) Stability of national currency (RSD), more investor-friendly environment in Vojvodina, less monopolies. He specially mentions the areas were Hungarians live in need of more investment and better policies.

7) Constitutional and legal development of Hungarian autonomy

8) Re-grouping of administrative borders of listed communities.

9) Political and monetary de-centralization in Vojvodina

10) Ensure the full equal treatment of all ethnic groups living in Serbia and that they peacefully live with each other.

11) Base pillars strengthening the identity of ethnic community: churches, education, use of language, information media, culture

12) Rehabilitation and justice for innocent victims of the era between 1920-2000. He acknowledges, there is a significant progress on that area but material and moral rehabilitation still did not happen.
