"I don't think I even need to explain why we Albanians do not want to live in the same state where the vast majority of people, starting from the prime minister, thinks like the poster above.
(johny, 19 January 2008 19:31)"

I agree that the Albanians don't want to be part of a multi-ethnic Country that has the choice to be a part of the EU or not. Instead, they are choosing the path where they will be an EU territory/colony, incapable of meeting any EU standards and incapable of improving the standards of living. Black market economies are frowned upon in the EU. They frown on you. UDI will agravate the situation. If you go down the UDI, you will find the truth of a policy failure. It will be unfortunate for a lot of young people in KosovO and benefit few.

"The Kosovo Albanians don't need the OSCE. They have enough heroin, young innocent women, and weapons moving through their land to sustain themselves. Too bad that they don't realize that such business ultimately leaves the majority poor cold in winter, hot in summer, and without any social net to catch them when they fall. Most of all, they will have nowhere to go legally - just an expensive midnight boat ride to Italy. EU members are supposed to be economically viable, not economically dependent.

Alfa,

you certainly know what is necessary to prevent further conflict, chaos and war.

so, you, the Albanians will be responsible for eventual irresponsible moves.

there were certainly enough warnings and voices from all over the world, but if all what the Albanians are capable of here is to belittle it, and to overestimate US-american power... then, my dear friend,

you will be quite disappointed in the future, I guess.

This is just another case of Serbs shooting at their own foot! The OSCE there is to protect the Serb minority and Russia and Serbia have a say in OSCE! What are they going to do with EU Mission? They are not going to be listened at all.

- Government does not want Serbia in EU
This is the interior matters for Serbia and wrong or right choice, will reflect on Serbia only. There is nothing to do with Kosova. Kosova’s future is in EU.

- Prevent Bosnia from recognizing Kosovo
The last country that Kosova need recognition is Bosnia. Although we do recognize the genocide that Bosnian people suffered during the war, Albanians are missions of freedom. We don’t want border change in Balkan, even that we are the only nation separated in 6 countries. We do that compromise in a name of peace in Balkan. Kosova as part of ex-Yugoslavia will be independent with or without Bosnia or Serbia recognition. As Albanians, we suffered the most from the separation, so we do understand the willing of Srbska Republic to be part of Serbia. However this is not what Serbs wanted. They wanted to dominate the ex-Yugoslavia. To redraw the borders, to let nations to live within their own borders, Serbs didn’t need UNKS approval; they just needed the will for freedom and let other nations, Montenegrins, Croats, Slovenes, Macedonians, Albanians, to take care their own life. Then was the right time for Serbs in Bosnia to be in the same republic and now in the same country as Serbia, however Serbia was too busy bulling other nations then watching over their own nationals. Isn’t the same thing what Serbia is doing today bulling Kosovars instead looking for their own nationals interest; integration in EU and prosperity and equality for Serbs.

- Fines for products listing Kosovo as separate entity
What Serbian government will do with this is damaging Serb business and economy and force Serbian people to put their head in sand to not see the reality – Independence of Kosova.

- OSCE Kosovo mission to shut if independence declared
OSCE Kosovo mission was part of Serbia-OSCE agreement to monitor election and other human rights matters. After Kosovo’s independence this agreement will no longer be valid and it is normal to shut down.

To albanian camp -

You are all cheering & wishing for this to close down. Go ahead & claim your independence.....see what happens then.

*no electricity
*no help from anyone as you don't have the means to be a "state" all on your own.
*you have NO government (also, your "leaders" are on the way to the Hague)

Everyone (albanian camp) is blowing a bunch of hot air, but the bottom line is NO ONE will recognize KosovO as an albanian state independently! That's a fact!! You are all creating a scenario for anarchy, which is barbaric & ridiculous in the 21st century.

Your own country can't even keep the electricity on ALL day! Throw the towel in already!

Don’t forget to shut the door on the way out. And rest assured, you won’t be missed.

That's fine. Shut it down! The EU mission will be more than sufficient. The only interlocutor for Serbia to address its concerns about its minority. I guess many in EU are hpoping for that.

My bet is that if OSCE mission in Kosova/o is shut down because of Russia and Serbia, the EU through its EU mission in Kosova/o is going to form a new organization for Kosova/o only, where Serbia and Russia have no power and are not members.

Kosovo into the EU and Serbia into the “new” URSS (with Belarus and some other countries) could be an excellent and fair solution! Big brother Russia may easily compensate Serbia with land and petrol for the lost of “motherland” Kosovo. Are they?
It’s not a joke but I really think you need someone to shake you up! I’m sure Serbians and Albanians have much more in common and much more to share than Serbians and Russians. And they much better understand each other.
Wake up guys, Kosovo is gone. Start negotiating the future, look forward. We all don’t want a new war in the Balkans. We have nothing to gain and everything to loose! Some compassion and forgiveness is necessary but we can do it!

Wow! I’m impressed by government’s “secret” action plan (see: Cabinet adopts Kosovo action plan).
Here the first steps:
- Government does not want Serbia in EU
- Prevent Bosnia from recognizing Kosovo
- Fines for products listing Kosovo as separate entity
- OSCE Kosovo mission to shut if independence declared
More to come!
I hope hara-kiri and collective suicide are not part of government’s “secret” plan.

The Kosovo Albanians don't need the OSCE. They have enough heroin, young innocent women, and weapons moving through their land to sustain themselves.
