Maybe Mladic lies in a anonymous massgrave not yet found.. Or else, well protected by fellow minded people in some small village. I don't think he will ever been found unless someone is willing to take the bounty. Is there a price on his head actually?

Serbs and Albanians must look
each other in the eyes and
ask the difficult question as
to whether you can live
together.My own hunch is that
the nationalistic feelings
are so high on both sides and
any kind of reconciliation
is not attainable.The next
step should be a negotiated
divorce with international
guarantees and you live happily ever after.

Blero,

Maybe Mladic took a page out of Gotovina's book and is chillin' in the Canary Islands?

Look. . .though I completely disagree, its clearly in the best interests of the Serbian government to capture him and hand him over to that kangaroo court in The Hague. They've looked but can't find him. They've issued a 1 million euro bounty for information leading to his arrest. That is open to ANYONE. . .so. . .you or the Dutch can go look for him!

Six years after 9/11, the US still hasn't found Bin Laden. Nor have they put any kind of pressure whatsoever on Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan or Pakistan. . .the most likely places where he is hiding!

Even you should be able to see the duplicity when dealing with the West. If you can't. . .you soon will . . .when they abandon their promises to the Kosovar albanians!

The Dutch are known to be extremely liberal people, but also very stubborn.

How many times has Carla said that these "criminals" are in BiH & how many times do WE have to remind everyone that BiH is being governed by the UN?

This is VERY tired already.

That is exactly what I said. If he is indeed in Serbia, then yes, it is their responsibility to capture, if not, Bosnia & Herzegovina should be given the responsibility to capture him.
One thing though, why should he be in Russia? Why does everyone paint Russia out to be this Stalinist monster?

My two sense...

I respect how Serbia maintains their integrity in the face of the West, it is definitely admirable, but the West has indeed got a lot of control in the world today, and if Mladic is in Serbia, they have the right to demand him, however if not, they should leave Serbia alone indeed.

As I had pointed out yesterday, why is Serbia responsible for capturing a Bosnian (Serb) nationale? Mladic is not a citizen of Serbia.

(My too sense. . ., 18 January 2008 16:07)

My too sense,

So (let’s assume that Mladic is in Serbia), do you agree then to have B&H police force search for Mladic in Serbia?
If you agree with that then I believe that everybody will agree with your comment.
On the other side, if Mladic is in B&H then I agree with you, it should be B&H responsible for capturing him.

Peter Sudyka,

Please tell this is a comment that you did not really want to post!
The comment does not make sense (you yourself identified that at the end).

Now let’s do a brief analysis:

If you were Mladic, where would you be?
Definitely not somewhere where you can be easily captured!
I can tell you something though:
He is not in Kosovo, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia nor Macedonia.
I know for sure that he would not be in Croatian/Bosnian part of B&H either.

That somehow narrows the search to Serbia, Republika Srpska and like it or not Russia.
My bet is one of the first two (with an strong emphasize on the first)

My too sense. . .

Peter,

This ongoing fiasco simply illustrates the hypocrisy rampant among the western countries led by the US.

As I had pointed out yesterday, why is Serbia responsible for capturing a Bosnian (Serb) nationale? Mladic is not a citizen of Serbia.

Why isn't Saudi Arabia responsible for capturing Osama Bin Laden? He is Saudi after all??

Rule of thumb. . .double standards only apply to Serbs. Notice. . .Croatia can secede from Yugoslavia but Serbian Krajina cannot break from Croatia. Kosovar Albanians can break from Serbia but Kosovar Serbs cannot secede from 'kosova'.

Peter Sudyka

pre 16 godina

I just have one question, I know that Mladic is Serbian, but wasn't he a Bosnian Serb? Should it be Bosnia & Herzegovina's job to catch him? I suppose if he is in Serbia though for definite, then never mind what I wrote.

Everybody knows Mladic is in Serbia when they pull him out of the hat and he magically appears Serbia will have egg on its face and a lot of I told you so. But that will not happen for a while until Prime Minister Kostunica leaves he dose not believe Serbs war criminals should be tried in the Hague Tribunal. Even though Serbia agreed and signed up to the Tribunal. Even if he is surrendered by Serbia they will demand another Serb moral failing in the name of Karadzic.Believe me the world can out weight Serbia and the Serbs more than Serbia can out weight the world ,by doing the right thing in this case problem will be quickly resolved. Except for the shameful war criminals how will finally face justice. That they so brazenly denied to their 10 of thousands of victims of their lifes and basic human rights that the civilized world demands that everyone upholds and it should by all possible means.
