Wikipedia says:

“The Slovene National Party (Slovenska nacionalna Stranka) is a political party in Slovenia led by Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti. At the last legislative elections, on 3 October 2004, the party won 6.3% of the popular vote and six out of ninety seats.”

An this says all. It seems like this party is just one more of that “>10%” ultra-nationalist right-wing parties that exist all over Europe.

I honestly tell you that Serbs have no reason to be jelaous on Croats and they are not. Speaking about civilized manners we learnt Croatian civilized manners in the past. Unfortanately for us Serbs we had no one to take our side and still as such lonely players we did well. Again unfortanately for us Serbs media did not cover horrible stories from Croatia and their sofisticated civilized manners while burning alive persons. Even Archiblad Rice made a huge file on Croatian manners during WWI all along with civilized Austro-Hungarinas.

Holy Cow, Lenard!

For once I agree completely with every word in your post! It can't be true! Have a nice weekend my croatian (new) friend!

But to keep up with the good tradition of fighting between serbs and croats I have to ask you this, do you think that Ante Gotovina is rightfully being accused in Hague Tribunal and deserve a long prison sentence?

Never mind, just have a nice weekend all of you here!

I don't see why Croatia should hog all of former Yugoslavia's coastline. I don't see anything wrong with Slovenia getting some more. Croatia has more than enough coastline for its population.

On must not that Dalmatia was not part of Croatia until it joined up in state with Serbia and Slovenia and then later became the first Yugoslavia.

I personally do not think that this will pass however I completely understand why some Slovenians do not want Croatia to join. Croats have an issue with the border yet very few people know what the original assessment of the border was. The deal was that the borders would remain the same as in Yugoslavia. In which SLovenia patrolled and guarded the disputed area of water, thus their claim to patrol it today. I do not understand why Croats would not as a good neighbor allow little Slovenia access to open seas, especially since Croatia has so much of it. This has been the issue all along. Croats also have a lot of issues with the vast amounts of real estate owned by Slovenians in the North Adriatic of Croatia where the Croats constantly harass Slovenian owners. I know know this first hand. Also Croatia has not yet conformed to EU laws regarding real estate purchases. To this day Croatia blocks purchases by Slovenian citizens, something which they do not do for Germans. These are just some of the issues and I understand why Slovenians are upset, and also you have to remember that Croats think they are better then everyone else and have an arrogant chip especially in regards to Slovenia. When I was in Croatia I was told by the locals that Croats hate Slovenes more then Serbs these days, because of the 2 km border dispute. Croats seem to forget that they have a huge coast line that they can thank Tito for because none of this was originally Croatian!

Luciano - I would also welcome what you say. But not because I love EU that much. As bad as EU is, there is nothing better invented yet.

All of these poor bitter Serbs posting anti-Croat sentiment due to their petty jealousies.

Slovenia and Croatia will sort it out in a civil manner. Its not like we are dealing with Milosevic's Serbia which was hell-bent on war. Both Slovenia and Croatia have never fought each other which says a lot.

Croatia will join the EU because it is in an economic position to do so, has co-operated with the Hague, etc.

Pity the same cant be said for Serbia. Slovenes are attempting to use their position for their own gain. The same manner in which they economically exploit Serbia. Its all about their own agenda to better Slovenia.

Croatia,Bosnia,Serbia,Macedonia,Montenegro and Albania should all join the EU together in order to minimize differences in the region. In the east Moldova should also join in order to minimize the differences between it and Romania in standards.A total of 30 million more people will not have any negative economic consequences on an existing common market of 500 million.Shalom

During Yugoslavia the Ustase were denoted as idiots and had no place in society but since Tudjman things have changed so that Ustase are respected and adored as we have seen when they celebrate their actions and ideology openly at celebrations etc where numerous high ranking state officals attend.

Croats are good people, Ustase are not.

RE: Slovenian Hypocricy

Slovenia still has not come clean to the murder of JNA troops of all nationalities who were murdered in Slovenia without provocation securing the borders of Yugoslavia in 1991. Again, Milan Kucman, the Slovenian leader of that generation should have been brought forward for war crimes.

Those JNA troops were sent to secure the border posts and ordered not to fire upon the so called Slovenian Freedom Fighters.

Rupel and others should re-examine comments to their Croatian neighbours and be more supportive in finding solutions not condemnation.

Slovenia thinks it can bully Croatia and have the sea border and land borders to their advantage and liking are dreaming. Croatia has proposed time after time that they go to mediation at world bodies of law of the sea and borders. Slovenia has refused they know they will lose because Croatia has overwhelming preponderance of evidence and law on their side. Croatia dose not need the EU and its totally unjust statements coming from so called statesmen that are hypocrites and their bulling threats how needs such a shamefull organization of unruly gang of politicians and bully's. Croatia is doing good with out them economical growth of 6% this year.Tourism growing by 600,000 year over year it is already well over 10 million a year. Well over a billion dollars in surplus than forecast by the government unemployment dropping every year and is in the top nations in direct foreign investments. Slovenia would be doing Croatia a big favor if it blocked its entry. In to the overwhelmingly hypocritical EU club and it showed show that you don't have to be in the EU to be successful and be a slave of western Europe & Brussels. I only wish Croatian politicians were smarter and let the people decide if it is a true democraticy if they should join EU and NATO. Let the pros and cons be discussed fairly not the state and state religion and yous their unfair biased advantage of the state propagandas for the yes campaigns by a few of the elites and override the citizens fundamental rights to chose for them selfs without the government being biased already to the decision and not letting citizens decide and vote in democratic freedom. Not to the detrimental of the hopes aspirations of the citizens wishes of good and fair government for the people and not fore the biased few of the elites for their unscrupulous unjust criminal gains.
