So, one leg is EU and the other leg is Kosova according to Tadic.
This means that serbia is not standing on its own legs.
or am I mistaken. this means "democracy" is still a child in serbia and cannot stay on own legs.

Why is the EU offering Serbia the opportunity to sign the SAA as soon as possible if they did not want Serbia in its ranks? Did you read any of the EU-oriented articles thus far? The only thing standing in the way are the war criminals, otherwise there is no reason why Serbia should not join the EU.

Canadian,
I am no apologist for Boris Tadic but I think you are being a bit harsh on him. He is trying to walk a very fine line between those who would say "to hell with Kosovo, the EU at any price" and those who would would say "Kosovo is Serbia, to hell with the EU." I believe that both are important to him, but the emphasis will change depending on what is happening and who he's talking to.
I think himself and Kostunica are actually a great team and as long as they hang together Serbia will be well served.
Based on his statements on Kosovo so far, I hope that Tadic is re-elected.

Maybe – but the cavy is that EU doesn’t want Serbia among its ranks.
Which part is still not clear?!

I am truly bewildered by Tadic, just when I thought the man had his priorities straight he returns to Serbia's first interest is the SAA when in fact he too signed and agreed to the Serbian Parliament resolution that Kosovo is Serbia's first priority. I am afraid that all this noise about signing the SAA which will not happen is going to cost him the election, he will indeed lose to Nikolic at a narrow margin.

I am truly disappointed by this man now. I had actually believed he had his priorities straight in December and now I see he is wavering again, certainly not a good quality from a politician.

No one in Serbia is saying g that they do not want to join the EU, all that the people and Parliament are saying is that they will not join at the expense of losing Kosovo and Tadic is like a stubborn child who must have the toy he saw in the store and wants it at any cost.

Tadic must make it explicitly clear that signing SAA means the EU upholds Serbia's Sovereign integrity - that is the root of the political confusion - how can the SAA be signed with the Sovereign Republic of Serbia if the EU via a "few" members continually question its sovereignity?

This needs clarity and Tadic must clarify this point to the Serbian electorate and to the EU without haste!

With clarity Tadic will have an opportunity to win outright come the 20th January but wavering and dithering leaves him weakened and looking indecisive.

The Serbian electorate want an EU future but not at the price of partition! It wanst a clear and strong message from Tadic that he understands that and wishes to respect the majority view that this is the case.
