“Belgrade won’t cooperate with Serb MPs in Kosovo”

I commend the Gentleman having courage to step up to the plate and defend the Kosovo Serbs. I think the Independence of Kosovo is going to happen and MP's are making a statement that they will no longer be duped by Serbia. Make the best for all the people of Kosovo both Serbs and Albanians. Mr Thaci will ensure the minorities will be treated with Dignity and Respect.

Here we go. K-Serbs are going to be branded as traitors now just because they spoke their mind.
It was about time they do that. Belgrade used them as much as they could while they where out of the trouble facing luxury.
Great move by K-Serbs, they have choosen to be on one side not in between.

North of Kosova has a small minority of Serbs(bridge watchers)that is terrorising the majority of Serbs. Local Serbs say that North has becoem like Little Columbia. So , no one would love to move to north. peole are leaveing instead mate.

Petrović may very well have good intent for the Serbs in Kosovo but I am afraid what he and his so called party is doing is wrong. When Kosovo partitions, and make no mistake about it, the Provence will partition. He will be outcast by the North and labeled as a traitor by his own people and the Albanian South won't want to have anything to do with him. In the end he will in fact be representing no one, ironic really since he saying now that Belgrade does not represent the Serbs in Kosovo.

It is unfortunate that there has to be this struggle between Belgrade and the K-Serbs on the ground. For all the patriotism and sympathy generated towards them, what Belgrade is doing in preventing K-Serbs from taking matters, and politics, into their own hands, amounts to little more than a power play.

Iowe if you've lived (ex) Prizren for 30 years (no icident) and you go well with your neighbors and community...do you honestly you will move to leave your house and life just because some ultra-nationalist because president?? Kosovar - Serbs may be controlled by belgrade...but they aren't stupid.

He said that a partition of "Kosovo would not be good for the Kosovo Serbs, especially the two-thirds of them who live south of the Ibar river."

I predict that when Kosovo does its UDI, many if not most of these southern K-Serbs will pack up and move north of the Ibar where they will feel safety in relative numbers.

What planet are you from, Thaci and Ceku for that matter were member of the KLA , UCK , terrorist organizations as listed by the CIA itself. They ordered the killings of innocent Serbia , Albanian and Roma civilians to incite hatred and violence in Kosovo.

Thaci and Ceku should not be allowed to step foot in any nternational institution. Sejdu(sp) is the only Kosovo Albanian politician at a high level who should be allowed to speak elected or not for the Kosovo Albanians.

These Serbian MP's from Kosovo only act as a voice for Kosovo Serbs under UN resolution 1244 and report to UNMIK not Serbia. They should petition the current Kosovo Protectorate to allow freedom of movement for people in the Serbian Enclaves in Kosovo which are nothing more than prison camps surrounded by KFOR.

This dude let his position get to his head. Why don't he declair indep for the Albanians. To the Albanian camp, so the Albanians have a Serb thats with them. He speaks for a handfull of Serbs and not for the north. Belgrade had loyal Albanians in 99 but the KLA took care of them right quickly. He can do what he wants but he only speaks for a small number of Serbs and do not represent the majority that wish to remain with Serbia. Good luck buddy. And thanks for betraying you own people.

Not good at all, the Serbian government should take an interest in its people, even if they become a part of Kosovo. Isolating them would show an extremely ugly side of the Serbian government, and we saw one back in 1998/1999.

Just a sad example of and Albanian window dressing individuals of Serbian ethnicity. Remember, in old days, how much support among Albanians was there for Seydo Bairamovic (who, at least on the paper, was representing them in Serbian Assembly)?
Well, the same applies here – but in reverse roles.
Those are Albanian’s “toy Serbs”, propped up by Albanians to keep the illusion alive, at least until, the EU “Few” tries to figure out how to create white colored black hole.
To Albanians : Your toys - for your pleasure. Keep’em.

Now can you please go and tell your fellow Albanians to let the Serbs out of their barbed wire enclosures and allow them safe passage to schools and churches?

A gesture like that would certainly convince me that you have the Serbs' best interests at heart.

Things are going to be made more difficult for the remaining Serbs in Kosovo? Easy to threaten the ones that are too old or too poor to move. Easy to blow up 100 Serb cultural heritage sites. Any way that this finally plays out the Albanians will lose. They lose if they don't get independence, and they will lose when they turn on each other when they eliminate the Serbs and no longer have them to blame.

The picture you painted of ethnic paradise in Prizren is touching ..... unfortunately it doesn't square with March 2004. If I were K-Serb, I would still much rather take my chances with Belgrade. Because you are right, the K-Serbs aren't stupid enough to wait for another March 2004!

Sure Serbia and Belgrade politicians will lead them in to bloody wars against their neighbors ,manipulate them use them to hold on to power at horrendous costs. Soon as they have their own original ideas and not some Belgrade line that has to fit all circumstances and for every purposes under the sun. Instead letting them decide what is good for them selfs and their families is reasonable under the circumstances. Would like to live in peace get along with their neighbor. They become a threat to the Belgrade politics and homogeneity ,that have no clues what it takes to live day in and day out every day of their life and families. The Belgrade politicians try to in every way make them non existent try to replace with narrow mindless lackeys how tow the Belgrade line come high water or destruction. It is always all or nothing cruel game with the Belgrade politicians ,every common person and people used as pawns that are expendable in their blind site. When will they learn to live in peace with their neighbors and them selfs.
