I may not understand Serbia's governmental system well enough, but how does a DEPUTY prime minister sign international agreements?

Stuart,

you are so off mark that it is clear that your reactions are reflective of the same false analysis that said if we bomb Serbia for a day or two they will submit to all our demands!

The reality was (as you surely know) so different and the same can be said today of those like yourself who fail to comprehend that Serbia is not playing political games in upholding and protecting its Sovereignity.

Moreover the whole of the coalition government and major opposition parties DS, DSS, NS, G17+, SRS, SPS, LS, RP, and URS representing over 90% of the serbian electorate - this is not the position of just DSS as you would hope. Furthermore, when asked if Serbia should give up Kosovo & Metohija for an enhanced "possibility" of EU membership sometime in the future I am pretty certain that this would result in a clear result of forgoing EU and retaining continued Sovereignity and territorial integrity.

Stuart not sure which country you are from but maybe you would be happy to give up 15% of your state to an ethnic minority but I am certain a large proportion of your fellow citizens would have a different perspective!

After these elections, I think the will of the people of Serbia will be made apparent, whether it will be Kosovo or the EU.

I am sure all these Serbian posters don't represent the majority of public opinion in Serbia. Nearly all of them appear to espouse DSS positions. I think most Serbs would like to join the EU and know Kosovo is lost.

Zoran you are right,

the first priority of any President is the protection of the Sovereignity of the State he represents and I am certain Tadic will clarify his stance prior to the succesful signing of the agreement if the EU choose to uphold international law and the very foundations of their the EU project itself regarding respect of partner states.

I liked the comical & cheeky question regarding "one-way ticket" - good to lighten the tension.

Bmrusila said "Mr Djelic I think you are well aware that if you sign the SAA you basically approved illegal EU mission into our province of Kosovo and Metohija."

Where does the SAA mention Kosova/o?
Why this SAA should include Kosova/o?
Why other SAA did not include same things, that serbia is asking?
Why serbia wants to related SAA with Kosova/o?
Old traps (1244) set up by serbia will not work this time. EU is very clever, and will treat serbia as fair as other countries.
Serbia must understand that EU doesnt loose anything if serbia dont sign. Today, serbia is not in EU, and EU is doing fine. Even if tomorow serbia is not in EU, EU will be doing fine still.
I think serbia is now testing waters and will sign it in the last minute, if not a generation might loose out in serbia.

"a one way ticket"

haha this is funny :)
I think if serbia doesn't elect the right leaders, many in serbia are going to buy "many one way tickets" also.

With all due respect for your ambitions and effort that you make in Serbia's political life I think you should cancel the flight to Brussels and put the pen into the pocket of your suit. Mr Djelic I think you are well aware that if you sign the SAA you basically approved illegal EU mission into our province of Kosovo and Metohija. Don't make me angry and contribute in changing my opinion in the elections.

Wrong Mr. Djelic, you are not one who will bring decisions. SAA agreement should not depend of Mr. Tadic re-election, but from Serbian territorial integrity reassurance by EU. Mr. Djelic, your message is not in favour of Tadic re-election.
