Olf, Do you really expect the K-Serbs to return to Kosovo when a life of barbed wire enclosures and escort by NATO to school and church is what is waiting for them?

Serbian standing in the world is good. What are you doing to improve the Albanian reputation. You can only travel so far on the propaganda of the past. We are looking to future now.

Don't blame the Serbs for not returning when you have made it impossible for them to return.

What are Albanians doing to ensure security for the non Albanian population?

If you're looking for someone to blame, look no further than your own back yard.

You made an excellent comment and I will also confirm that even during Milosevic time and during Serbia's darkest isolation Kosovo was still far decent place to live. Nowadays Kosovo is just a black hole. It is really tragic!

People like Olf show a totally antagonistic view, and I'm VERY surprised that you allow him to comment with such dispicable discourse, that to have him even comment on the forums is an insult to everybody with an open mind...

Your hatred for Serbs is so narrow-minded that even basic human rights that they deserve are sidelined for your OWN zeal for unwarrented punishment..

You somehow twist basic survival and potential goodness in human beings by somehow CONDONING the state of the K-Serbs existence...

How do you expect the IC to take the Albanian community seriously?
If you can't respect the rights of a few Serbs left in the south of the province, how can you be expected to have ANY rule of law amongst yourselves??

I've just read an article, in where a US citizen takes a ride around Kosovo, and let me tell you something.........
It's a shame what KFOR and the West has allowed to happen to the Serbs in Kosovo..

In fact, the last 9 or so years, the west has produced more misery, economic collapse, electricity shortages, loathing and unemployement than Milosevic's rule EVER DID...

I've personally even stopped blaming the Albanians for the current situation, and believe the blame should be pointed on the shoulders of the Western governments directly involved..

All Serbs in or from Kosovo need to settle north of the Ibar in order to consolidate their control and remain part of Serbia with NATO Greek and Romanian Special Forces together with the Serbian Army repelling what are sure to be upcoming attacks by the Islamists when their independence declaration will not change anything on the ground.

Many of the homes of these Kosovo Serbs are being rented out to the international community for big bucks after they were stolen by the Albanians. The international community and Albanians should be paying for the years' worth of use of these homes and apartments to the Serbs if they aren't allowed to return.

And in the places were Serbs stay they can't work their land for fear of being shot or attacked and having their livestock stolen by the Albanians.

Their plight is due to the theft by Albanians under supervision of the international community.

Olf,

There is not worth to reply on your narrow minded point of views. You may rest asured that Serbia takes care of its refugees as best as can. Please, when you have such claims then you should be ready to support them by some relevant sources (not koha ditore, please). I wait for the links where IC is calling Serbs to come back to Kosovo and give guarantees for their survival. Also, I expect you to link me the official statistics of the sold serbian property.

Olf-Your government does not even pay money for their survival

-EU has spent billions in helping Kosovans, why isn't Putin

And where is the money? Nothing has changed in Kosovo from the day I left. The infrastracture is in its worst shape, meaning that Albanians are incapable of maintanace, let alone of something more demanding. They just have enough long and sticky fingers. Albanians master this thechnique.

Massacres that you claim mate are fabrications that only some Serbs believe in. So please wake up

Peggy

No need to blame K-Albanians or International Community for blunders of your own. Both, K-Albanians and IC have been asking K-Serbs to return to Kosova but they have instead opted to sell their properties and live in Serbia without changing their status. They don’t change the status of IDP because your government does not want them. Your government does not even pay money for their survival. Honestly speaking we care about Serbs as much Serbia cares about Albanians, no more no less. Mind you Peggy, Serbia claims criticizes IC and K-Institutions as unfit to run a country because they cannot care about basic human rights, but what about Serbia. Same if not worst isn’t it.

To finish this, I would say that it would be much productive if you stop blaming others for your blunders and start working on improving your image in the world. With this you are not doing a favour to any Serb.

Mike

pre 16 godina

To all the Albanians and their supporters: instead of shedding crocodile tears over Kosovo IDPs, either work at rebuilding their homes and providing a safe place for them to live, or keep your opinions to yourselves. They're refugees because they were driven out of Kosovo by your less savory compatriots bent on reverse ethnic cleansing.

Furthermore, it's not that Serbia doesn't want to care for these people, it's that they have not the resources to do so. A sudden influx of 100,000 people into any country is hard, but for Serbia, a country beset by years of international sanctions, makes it doubly hard.

lids

pre 16 godina

Sadly enough this people can`t go back to Kosovo for as long as the criminals who burned their homes and killed their children are in power and free as a birds to do it again if they ever think of going back.
Serbia is the only country in Europe with 200,000 displaced and refugees and that alone is too big for country whose infrastracture was bombed just 9 years ago.
So all of you albanian commentators think before you speak.

I agree that Serbian government should finance the needs for refuges but I must emphasize that refuges from Kosovo should be the responsibility if the IC since they have done nothing to prevent the chaos and massacre over the Serbs and some non-Albanians in 1999. IC have done nothing to prevent intimidation and deportation of the Kosovo Serbs. Furthermore, IC have done nothing to prevent events that took place in March 2004 and yet IC is still doing nothing to improve the situation and living conditions of the Serbs not to mention basic human rights such as freedom of movement and right on its own language and many other things that are concerned of human dignity.

I am touched by all the sympathy the Albanians are showing towards the K-Serb refugees.
My question to them is why are these people still refugees? Why aren't they able to return to their homes?

If Albanians are so worried about the welfare of these people and are condemning Serbia for not caring enough abou them, then allow these people to go to their homes. Don't make them be refugees any longer.

Show that you care instead of just talking about it. The only time you talk about feeling sorry for K-Serbs is when Serbia is unable to provide them with basic needs. This is only to show how Serbia doesn't care about it's own citizens.

Spare me the false sympathy.

BH-NYC
-EU has spent billions in helping Kosovans, why isn't Putin

And where is the money? Nothing has changed in Kosovo from the day I left. The infrastracture is in its worst shape, meaning that Albanians are incapable of maintanace, let alone of something more demanding. They just have enough long and sticky fingers. Albanians master this thechnique.
