Apparently you think people believe your propaganda. I speak of things i have experienced, and not what i "believe" it is like.

I go there every year, and maby you havent been there since you havent seen people change their car plates from BG plates to KS plates or vice versa depending on what side of the Kosovska Mitrovica bridge you want to drive.

Apparently its you who havent been there for a while...

I have a grandfather from Prizren. He was deceased when my own dad was just an infant, and consequently we have never had contact with anyone from that side of the family. I am always trying to find out more about that area, and that's why I am interested when people say they have some roots from there.
(Nicholas Klinsman, 5 January 2008 23:09)

Nicholas, mine are from that area also.

SWEDE,
Apparently you have never been in prishtina or at least lately. On every corner you will hear Serbian language and no one cares.
SRSG Rycker is absoluately right and he will tell in UNSC meeting about orchestarated assault against him and COMKFOR,which ocurred in Gorazhdevac while back. I think you all remeber that, including b92 which i have offered first hand information but they refuse to posted.
Let see what the future will bring, as Jovan says it all the time.

Dardania (Kosova) is de facto independent. It will be de jure very soon, sooner than everyone expected. In meantime, the world is preparing itself to accept it as a independent entity without any problem. It will be accepted in a record of time in world organizations, with or without Russian approval. A simple, orphan Russian veto will not keep a nation hostage of another, nor make it live forever in misory and ambiguity of the future. This buffer time is unfortunately serving business elites, be those Russian, Austrian, American or Brittish to lower the prices of properties and business they plan to buy in Serbia or Dardania (Kosova) and the only ones to pay for these "mafia times" will be Serbian and Kosovar people. The rest is just words and bla-bla-theater. Those who claim to be nationalists or whatever are nothing else but tools in the hands of international cash-buyers.

I invite Mr. Ruecker to take a walk in Pristina while trying to speak serbian. It would be a nice experience of his "freedom of movement". Or better yet just let him use Belgrade plates on his car and cruise around for a while...

what for heavens sake makes you so certain that the USA, and some european states make up the "world"???

South Africa, China, Indonesia, Romania, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, Slowakia, Ghana...and many more... I think if you try to reactivate a tiny little bit of your math-skills, maybe you will realize that the world, or, let´s be more precise on this, the majority of the world, is on Serbia´s side.

bmrusila,
of course, I'm sure Kostunica can't wait to send some harsh words. We all know Serbia is right, and the world is wrong.

UNMIK says “the implementation of the anti-corruption plan has not gone as planned in areas such as administration, police, and the judiciary.”

What he maens is:
"According to the Transparency International, an anti-corruption watchdog based in Berlin, Kosovo under the KLA leadership is among the most corrupt regions in the world today, the fourth in the world right after Cameron, Cambodia and Albania. Sixty seven percent of Kosovo residents have stated they have to pay bribes to get services."

I would say someone needs to raise their standards a bit.

Delije: Shame on the world, but they do know what's going on in Kosovo. They deliberately look the other way. I'm proud to hear that there are people like you that will make sure it does not get lost or forgotten.

I'm curious to know what part of Kosovo your family is from?

My wifes grandfather still needs a Kfor escort from Serbia proper to his town deep in south Kosovo just to check on his house & property. These are lies that Mr. Ruecker writes. We need someone to get in there and make a long documentry on the lives of Serbs in Kosovo. Then air it world wide so we can expose the real truth of Kosovo and the way the Serbs & non-Albanians are treated with hate, herasment & intimidation. The picture that western media paints is an outright lie. Non-Albanians live in fear everyday, they live in gettos in the south for God sakes. The north is better off for the most part minus the attacks. If indep is gained, the lives of non-Albanians in the south are numbered. Good luck to you if you wish to remain.

well, my honourable friend!
unfortunately people who lied the most are the ones who couldn't accept the reality of the situation . in fact, ryecker is a person who is clearly telling the reality. It's not his fault that some people still live under the illusion of opressing others and they are the best in the universe.
i am sorry if you feel thatKosovas independence will destabilise. Kosova will be accepted as independent shortly and it will not tolerate oppression, mass murdering, abusing and raping.

It is claimed that the Kosovo government is already preparing a plan for April 2008 that will represent an instructive document for the implementation of standards.

Kosovo under UNMIK's authority is a comedy - actually, it's a horror show. Shouldn't implementation of standards happened, "like eight years ago"? Reucker, the disgraceful Shook, who was asked to leave to leave Kosovo in shame, and countless others have ZERO credibility. They look into your eyes and openly lie - how dare he say that there was no impediment to "freedom of movement" - for the Albanians, maybe but, certainly not for Serbs? Isn't this one of the main issues, Mr. Reucker - that the Serbs are confined to their ghettos? I am certain that Tadic will expose this corrupt UN mouthpiece in the up coming UNSC meeting later this month.

“not a single case of threat to the freedom of movement was registered.”

- Mr Ruecker should be ashamed of writing lies in his report. The one should just google and find the incidents against the Serbs that occured in few past months on the nearly daily basis. The last one took place just few days ago in Bosnjacka Mahala in Mitrovica as well as explosion of the branch of the Komercijalna Bank. Two weeks ago Serbian cemetaries were desecrated in south of the Ibar river, and so on. This man should resign his position since he is incapable of keeping the order in Kosovo, for taking the side and being biased, but mostly for not been able to write the truth. I feel sorry for the UN institution for having this kinds of clerks that have no enough honesty, decency and courage to represent this organization with highest manners.

I expect Serbia will strongly react on this kind of report and represent the facts and not colored lies.
