Rade,
You didn't get my comment, "trust us" is what Serbian diplomacy is saying to K-Albanians and to the world, at least that's how it looks from the albanian side. It's sad, but there can be no trust right now, 8 years are too few to build trust after all that's happened. Maybe a couple of generations later there will be serbs marrying albanians and call their children Zoran and Agron with their families approving, but not now.

Even if Thaci and the others went away, nothing would change, indipendence is the will of all albanians in Kosovo, 2 million or 1.5 million whatever number you want. That will is so strong, and they are so determined, that nobody can stop it, not even Russia. It's your diplomats' duty to talk against it, but they know it can't be stopped, they know how strong it is, because they know how these things work. Unless they are lousy diplomats and personally I don't think they are lousy.
It happened once before, in the early 90s. Independence was declared unilaterally, with no help or recognition whatsoever from the outside world and now that there is help it will happen again.

Ahmet, in which post did I say or even imply that all Albanians are war criminals?

Civil society has an opportunity to demonstrate its rejection of rule by criminals by not voting for them. Better yet, political parties can ban those people it knows or reasonably suspects are criminals. If this were the case, Haradinaj, Thaci and Ceku would disappear from the political scene.

As for your comment on living under one roof, which seems to imply that Albanians and Serbs cannot live together; can you please explain the duties of the minister for returns in the Albanian dominated provincial cabinet of Kosovo and Metohija?

Rade you got your cables all mixed up, becasue war criminals are in Belgrade and not in Prishtina.
As I understand you label all K-Albanians criminals and yet you are asking us to live under the same roof. What a JOKE....
I do not understand how did you make it through b92 editor with your coments.

"trust us.. we have changed."

You've got a nerve talking about change and trust.

Instead of ethnic Albanians investigating and indicting Thaci, Haradinaj, Ceku and their henchmen themselves (never mind the Hague), they glorify them and even vote them back in to power.

These are people that personally commited the most horrendous crimes, including against their own people, with their own hands. They did not just have 'command responsibility', or make speeches, or have photos taken.

How do ethnic Albanians explain why they continue to have virtually the full complement of war-lord criminals still in power?

Ethnic Albanians living in Kosovo and Metohija should ask themselves the hard questions; did I ever speak up? Did I vote for the criminals? When will I change and when can I be trusted?

"The majority tend to agree with our view that a solution needs to be found based on talks"

What talks?
"We killed and tried to drive you out of our holy lands, but now let's talk of staying together nonetheless. It will be good for us to continue to have 2 million albanians inside Serbia indefinetely and it will be good for albanians too to be under their serb friends once again in some near/far future. Because we have changed, we are a democracy now. Mladic and Karadzic and their friends are still around, but trust us.. we have changed."

As I expected, Serbia already reacted on Rueckers report. The one should be heavy mentaly retarded for not being able to recognise the lies in the report. Mr Ruecker is trying to underestimate peoples inteligence and for that attempt he was supposed to be punished if there was a justice in this Earth.
