Yep, that's insurance against bombing something - or at least bombing something and not paying for it. The Russians could just confiscate American investments and property in Russia if the U.S. did damage to Russian owned property. The Russians could also prevent American companies from operating or doing business in Russia. The U.S. did have to compensate China for the embassy bombing. But Russia, unlike China, has nukes and has a military arsenal that is more developed in some spheres.

Come on people dont think just negativly about US , they dont bomb just for fun, the fcat that they bombed yugsolavia during 1999 it was because your country was comiting crimes against humanity in kosova.
I feel sorry for those of you that do think that russia cares for you they are using Kosova escuse to get from you everything what you have but again Kosova is becoming independent so dont waste your resources such are NIS, they will treat serbia as they did with Belarus (crisis one year ago-pipeline)its everything about money with russians, they will just become obstacle for you towards EU integration process
