Ideal solution, I agree, but not realistic, internal influences (parents, family etc.) are not the only influence on the worldviews of such people. Sometimes it is also external influences(friends, media etc.) that change the way people think, especially if they are easily influenced in their teenage years. For such issues, I can only say that time heals such wounds best.

In the meantime, a bit of force on behalf of the police is good enough.

Peter,
How to solve it?

It should first start by proper parenting.
Treating others as you would want to be treated learning the true meaning of tolerance.
Teaching right from wrong, holding parents accountable for their teenager's behavior and stop making excuses for unacceptable and uncivilized behavior.

My too sense. . .

DimTuc,

Alot of my "Kosovan" friends do not appear capable of conducting legitimate research. . .I thought to point them to an easy reference site such as Wikipedia.

Besides, I'll take Wikipedia's info over "Albanian posters on B92" any day!

"Even Wikipedia acknowledges Serbia's claim"

Even Wikipedia!! Well with such a devastating reference, what more can anyone argue?

Oh and yes, of course we sghould condemn this act, alongside the damage of over 100 orthodox churches in Kosova, 215 mosques in Kosova in 1999, and 1700 mosques in Bosnia in 1992-95 (along with 34 orthodox churches)

All have a good new year.

I don't think there is a need to start labelling this whole affair according to ethnic hatred. It is just pointless vandalism by some stupid teenagers who had too much to drink and wanted to feel big about themselves by vandalizing someone's grave from another ethnic group. It does not represent the opinions of the other ethnic groups as a whole!

It happens everywhere. Here in Poland (and throughout most of Europe) you have Roma and Jewish graves are permanently covered with hate propaganda and tombstones get smashed regularly. How to solve it? Either patrols at night or close cemetaries at 17:00. No more grave desecration.

To my sense

you are again talking with facta from Serbian propaganda and you became one of them.
You have mentioned the the 14th century and existence of Serbs in Balkans but not Albanians.
I have to bring to light the fact that only the Serbian propaganda tells that there where nations at that time in contrary with the others that state that people where known by the ruling clans and religion and there where no nations. I think you have to do some more research on"when are the first nations created and recognised"
The century you mention Albanians where of catholic and orthodox religion so the data that you are using is misused by you and Serbian propaganda machine.
If you need more do proper research!

We do not see any ultranationalist signs. What was involved most likely is not even "Satanist", but "Alkoholist" cult.

Don't worry. If ever found, they won't be punished too hard. Serbia it's not Singapore, neither Hungary is. Remember the case of Michael Fay? Not in this case. In E.U./E.U. aspirant countries a nice uncle judge will simply tell, they were bad boys and the parents (who else?) will pay a modest fine. Of course, if the defense lawyer won't object such "unusual and cruel punishment".

Olf,

Serbian ownership of Kosovo is propaganda? Are you kidding me?

Why do Albanians always talk about Kosovo from 1912 onwards? Did it suddenly fall from the sky on that date?

Even Wikipedia acknowledges Serbia's claim as such:

"Historical sources suggest that medieval Kosovo had a Serbian character - Serbian was the cultural, political and linguistic idiom of the region. There are not many records delineating the ethnic composition of Kosovo, however, the earliest known census was the Decani charter in 1330. The vast majority of people are shown to be Slavic Serbian, however, there were also other ethnicities such as Vlachs, Bulgaro-Macedonians and Greeks. Less than 2% of households or farmsteads were Albanian. The Albanians are mentioned for the first time in the 11th century, in the Alexiad. There appears to be no records of any Albanian institutions or states in medieval Kosovo. This is not to say that Albanians had not been living in the area before this, but it merely re-affirms the notion that they were a remote, shepherding people that dwelt in the rugged mountains of northern Albania."

Furthermore, less than 25% of the land is deeded to Albanians. Don't believe me? If you live there, get out of Pristina and notice the 1,000 or so buildings that dot the landscape (the ones that don't lie in rubble). . .notice the crosses. . .they're Serbian churches, a testament to our historical ownership of Kosovo.

Before Joe & Lenard or Albanian camp say anything about Serbia loseing Vojvodina, its 75% Serbian. There's only a meer 250k Hungarians living there. The will of the people stays with Serbia. As bad as you want "Serbia burn in hell forever" Xheffo, Serbia will be here for a long time to come. Kosovo is Serbias past, Vojvodina is Serbias future. Voivodina isn't going any where, just ask the "will of the people". The local police will handle this, more than I can say about kps. They couldn't solve a crime if the criminal did it right before their eyes. That is if the crime is against the Serbs. Be it a Hungarian, Serb or an Albanian democratic Serbia will find and prosecute the criminals involved. Unlike Kosovo where Albanian criminals walk free or are elected as PM. Croatia is no better, where war criminals go on hunting trips with gov officials and lie about it when caught. Serbia has it's problems but the truth is slowly comeing out about Kosovo, Croatia & Bosnia. And their criminal roles in the wars.

This appears more like the work of a Satanic cult than that of a national minority. In Kosovo grave markers are smashed, generally, not arranged to in an unholy manner. Nonetheless, Albanians, e.g., xheffo, do not possess the prerogative to reproach Serbs for bringing up their reputation.

Anything like that should be condemned and not tolerated. Acts like that are done by vandals that Serbian police still has to find.

To my sense …

You are mentioning the Serbian ownership of Kosova but I have not seen anything like that yet, except in Serbian propaganda which I read too.
To my sense, why don’t you try and find fault within your society for bringing so much pain, tears, loss of human life’s in the area from barbaric acts organised by the state. Once you start doing this you stand on better grounds.
Serbs where a minority in Kosova always. Of course that after the war most of them left since they conscience hurts to stay in Kosova. Few Serbs left Kosova starting form 1974 since they could not find work. 1974 constitution made Albanian and Serbian language official language of then Kosova province. The same constitution stated that in order to get a job in Kosova you should be able to speak both languages, Albanian and Serbia. Serbs spoke no Albanian and wanted not to speak Albanian so they went to Serbia.
I can give you many more fact but I leave it up to you to find that out.

Don't you understand that its all the Serbians' fault!? The desecrated churches and cemeteries, the murdered Serbian children and farmers, the bombs thrown into Serbian houses and cafes. . .yep!. . .you guessed it. . .we're to blame! You see. . .the highly esteemed and professional Albanian KPS hasn't found a suspect in any case, so it's certainly not the doing of an Albanian? Must be those dastardly Serbs then.

Enough sarcasm for you xheffo?

I'm sure that some mosques were destroyed during the 1999 war. . .but guess what? They were rebuilt. Moreover, your Saudi sponsors have added another, what?, 50-75 more mosques!

Now, most of the +100 Serbian monastaries and churches destroyed were done so after the 1999 war when gangs of Albanian extremists were destroying everything non-Albanian in sight. A barbaric ploy designed to eradicate symbols of Serbian ownership of Kosovo.

What a tolerable society.
