I agree with the basic principle that all human beings are equal. The idea that it is the birthright of some people (of so-called "royal blood") to be considered superior to others is revolting and undemocratic! I can't wait for the removal of the remaining monarchies in Europe -- they should have no role in government, not even ceremonial ones as is the case currently. If they want to be in politics, they can always stand for election on their own personal merit.
