"Wolfram Maas says, for his country, Serbia’s EU integration and Kosovo are completely separate issues."

As it should be. 1/3 of Cyrpus is still illegally occupied by Turkey, and it got into the EU (well, Free Cyprus at least). Why should we apply any different criteria for Serbia?

Princip,
German politicians are not fli-f;oping but they are tired of games coming from Belgrade politicians, so now they have decided to play head games in return. The end result is that Germany will recognize Kosova even before USA does. This is the plan , which you don't know. Just like when Croatia was recognized by Germany first than others followed.

Serbia knows very well about it´s favorable position in the balkans...

so, it´s more important for the EU itself to have Serbia inside the EU than the other way around.

Serbia should make clear that there won´t be any cooperation with states acting against the internationally guaranteed and reaffirmed sovereignty of the republic of Serbia.

CEFTA and other international organisations are already there...so, there is simply no real danger for serbian development in the future.

it could be said that way: "if you are looking for economic partners in the Balkans... you know who´s the best choice.

If that is the case then why do EU officials and EU state officials keep puttting the two issues together?

The EU has a bit of a multiple personality disorder with so many mixed, confusing and competing messages which clearly lack any unity beyond stalling indefinitly on both issues!

These Germans really need to make up their minds, this flip-fopping is ridicules. I guess this is their idea of saving face after Serbia made a series of press conferences telling the world how the EU is trying to bribe them, its all so very shameful and to think that European countries are lined to join this laughable club called the EU, what a joke!
