And yet another example of Washington supporting pro-American regimes rather than respecting the sovereignty of independent states. Looks like my government is still thinking "damage control" from the dastardly deed of trying to recognize the Armenian Genocide, and risking losing a strategic ally (read as air base) in Turkey.

kosova had autonomy in that time, and if serbia didnt like it who cares. it was an internal problem of kosova, and not of serbia. kosova would have resolved it by itself.

This article is a fine example of pure propoganda designed to brainwash the masses. Notice that the article, along with the US, supports the illegal invasion by Turkey of another country.
Yes, it is ok for the US and their 'humanitarian bomber' friends and bootlickers to illegaly bomb Serbia for 78 days for trying to put down albanian terrorism WITHIN THEIR OWN BORDERS, but they give approval to Turkey to cross the border and invade another country! The bombing of Serbia, a small country, by NATO, was a war crime and a truly shameful act. The only reason for this hypocrisy is the hugely important airbase in Incirlik, Turkey, which is used by the Americans to control the middle east.
Wake up people. This is a fine example of American double standards and hypocrisy. The Turks have treated their Kurdish minority like garbage, and the civil war raging there has killed somewhere around 30,000 people (far worse than anything seen in Kosovo). So why is the US not threatening to recognize an independent Kurdistan? I would love to hear Nicholas Burns, Condi, Holbrooke, and those of their ilk try to explain this one, because they simply can't. It's pure American hypocrisy, and it just goes to show why they are so mistrusted and disliked in most of the world.

"Turkish troops entered northern Iraq ..."

"The operation is the first reported ground incursion by the Turkish military ..."

"Turkish infantry backed by aircraft entered the Iraqi border ..."

"Turkish soldiers had penetrated several kilometres (miles) inside Iraq ..."

"... the United Nations have expressed concern over Turkish military action inside Iraq."

This news item is a perfect example of the "news" we are fed daily. No where in the entire article does it state the simple truth: Turkey has invaded Iraq.
