Contrary to what this story states, except for one solely Roma camp, the Roma don't live in isolation within Kosovo. They live, for the most part, in the prison camps that are called Serbian enclaves, afraid, like the Serbs, to leave them, because they, like the Serbs, enjoy absolutely no freedom of movement and if Kosovo becomes independent, they never will. Then the only option will be to leave and join the ever increasing Roma population in Macedonia.

Here is the link of the expulsion of Jews from Kosmet in 1999.

Nialll: I had taken you seriously up to now but it appears you don't have a clue about Kosova after all. What Jews are you talking about, being forced by the KLA from their homes? As for the Roma I am the first to admit that their treatment is shameful, but that is the same all over Eastern Europe, e.g. Czechs and Slovaks actually treat them much wo0rse then they were ever treated by Albanians.
As for the Jews during WWII it is shameful what happened in Kosova where 250 Jews were deported. But before expressing any judgments on this issue you should have a look at how many were handed over by the Serbs, then we can talk. And did you know that Albania was the only country in Europe where the Jewish community doubled in numbers during WWII? Anywya I do not care what you say since the Israelis, the foremost authority on this issue, have publicly thanked Albanians for that.

'Why are the Roma frightened especially in the south?

Seems that Kosovo will be a place for only Albanians as Croatia is only a place for Croatians.
(Roger7, 13 December 2007 19:34)'

You forgot the Jews who fled in 1999 when the KLA forced them at gunpoint to leave their homes.

Isnt it ironic that Serbia a country that has suffered demonisation by the Western media is the most multiethnic of all the ex-Yugo states. This should be pointed out always to silence the irrendists.

Hahaha. Delije, man! Since when do you care for roma. I get it, that is why you guys yell "cigani, cigani" when you loose a soccer match in Belgrade. This is getting funny. Serbs and especially delije, are now to teach Kosova how to treat roma's. Funny.

Real democratic, multiethnic Kosovo that takes care of its minorities. Not a one standard had been met in Kosovo when it comes to even basic human rights. And someone wants to grant them independence.

The treatment of the Roma is really shameful in all our countries. It makes a mockery of all our claims to tolerant and democratic and not racist.

People are people and I feel for the Roma. See its not only the Serbs that fear for their lives under an Albanian rule. They, the Osce, warns of a Roma exodes. And pland on a Serbian one. What no warning of the Serbian exodes? The US promised a indep Kosovo but we missed the fine print, a Serb and non-Albanian free monoethnic Albanian only indep Kosovo. The best of the best modern day ethnic cleansers, the leaders of K Albanians. Put your hands together people on a succesfull campaign of ethnicly cleansing Kosovo. Lets pop the corks and celebrate Kosovo independence the newest monoethnic country in the world, with special thanks to the Clinton adminstration & the Bush adminstration. Without you this could have never happened.

i guess romi have been torturing poor albanians as well
so they do not like them because of that
and thats why they cant live together with them either...
but what is important is that everyone says albanians are poor victims that deserve independence

I´d like to hear what "experts" like Mr.Montgomery or Burns would say to those poor poeple...

a shame for the international community... and at the same time another strong argument against any illegal pseudo-independences...
