Tom do you live in an igloo? or do you live in a house/apartment like most of the civilized world? How do you think your apartment or house is heated especially if you live in Europe? I would venture a guess that its not electricity since its too costly in Europe. Anyway, my point is your comment is silly and not well considered. The pipeline will heat the Balkans thus is why the Balkan countries in the end will never recognize Kosovo. I said this was going to happen way back in March and sure enough its almost a done deal.

Humm 200 million in just taxes and discount for purchase of Natural gas to create more electricty to sell to the neighboring countries. I guess it is a win for Serbia, dang some of that revenue would have headed south for Kosovo i guess now it will be added funds for the enclaves. I am sure that once they settle the Kosovo business then they will have power lines going straight to the enclaves guarded by EU forces and KeK will still have black outs and not provide sufficant power for the people. I wonder how the EU will fix that.

It is all about oil!

There is the US registered company, the Albanian-Macedonian-Bulgarian Oil Corporation (AMBO)pipeline, first conceived by the Halliburton Energy Corporation and has the backing of the US government, which conducted a feasibility study."

Now Russia is offering Serbia a pipeline.

what a strange thing. in germany and austria locals try by all means to obstruct the construction of new oil and gas pipelines in their neighborhood and in serbia some seem to be happy about such huge scale destruction of their environment!

Whether this will become the "fruits" of allying with Russia remains to be seen. While this would certainly help generate much needed revenue for Serbia, we need to remember:

1. Who controls the source of the gas

and more importantly

2. Who has the power the power to activate the on/off switch

Regardless, this is a clear sign that Serbia is moving within Russia's sphere of influence. The EU would be wise to note this particularly as they are coming up with the final strategy for Kosovo (which could either keep Serbia within its orbit, or lose it)

Nice-this way west can only kiss more decision making good bye and Serbia can easy cut ties with all of those supporting albanian independence.
Games are in motion and it`s so much better than we expected it.

This pipeline is of vital importance, not for Serbia but Germany. Interesting development will follow. Frau Merkel will have to decide - support Kosovo or having safe flow of energy to German industry.

Money talks, politics walks.
