"Though it does seem crime is WORSE in Serbia since the Milosevic government was put out of power."

Yes, of course ida, and at least the trains ran on time.

It's still safer than a U.S. mall yesterday which killed 9. I notice no one actually died in these incidents, so they are probably reporting every last bar fight, argument, and any drunken behavior.

Notice how the article didn't mention any reasons for the violence. Notice how responders decided to come to their own conclusions about the violence, linking it to Kosovo, the Hague, or just the stereotypical ethnic profiling so commonly used on both sides here.

Faulty reporting, and faulty commenting.

Malicious reporting with (not so) hidden agenda.
What is the balance sheet for the following capitals: Dublin, Madrid and Athens, for example? Including the bar brawls, please…
Com’on…really...

«There was also a string of fights all around the city last night.»

Last week, I gave a few reasons for this continued violence in Serbia. For Serbia, justice to the victims of the war, no matter if they are Serbs or Croats seems not to be an objective, and this attitude is certainly interpreted by segments of the population as such. When a State refuses to comply with international justice, the ICTY, what kind of a signal is being sent to the population, especially the young people?

Bobody is above justice, not even a government. The good example begins at the top of the pyramid, as we commonly say.

“Asked why it had to happen so quickly, they replied that ’there would be many problems in Kosovo.’ When we asked what they meant by that, whether someone would start shooting someone else, they replied, ’yes.’ Do we have to discuss all this down the barrel of a gun?“ wondered Jeremić.
Jeremic, that is why kosovo independence needs to be quick. because the shooting just started in belgrade. that is what they were talking about.

Serbia should concentrate all its efforts to maintain stability within its own borders. Kosovars are doing a better job already.

Yes, I reckon we should pack these hoods off to the US where guns are legal.

But more seriously it looks as if a settling of scores among criminals is in process.

So many incidents don't ocure in two months time in entire Kosova. On mean time in one city alone all those incidents, wow.

So time for Serbia, and the US (see 'Nebraska mall shooting kills 9), to both be placed under internationally supervised independence.
