Jovans comment, number 3,

No matter how positive in content it might be, I don't know the way you put the words, it is just scary to an Albanian. Right now i think that we can never trust you. Serbs still speak to Albanians as if we oew them something, or as if they are on a pedestal, or some divine godliness.

the strongest argument is UNSC 1244 and history itself. if you can´t handle the truth, you should at least try to read UNSC 1244 and I mean, REALLY read it, not the nonsense your koha ditore-yellow-press is interpreting out of it.

don´t worry, your comment doesn´t bother me at all. it´s a typical for albanian-teenage-style of misinformation, or let´s say wishful thinking.

first, you refer to Kosovo, an integral part of serbian territory, as albanian land...that´s just what it is not! it actually never was! you believe that, yeah...but you will learn that you´ve been duped all along.

and let me just tell you one thing, my dear albanian friend named "mark", the only ones who are acting arrogant are the Albanians, since they are the ones that have no real arguments in the true sense of the word.
you don´t have any moral, legal or even historical rights to take away something that is and never was yours.
the only thing that you think is enough argument is that you count 1.8 million poeple in the serbian province.
if that numbers are correct, of course. but in regard to the total population of Serbia, you are the minority. thats something you completely seem to forget.
you won´t get away with it.
it´s that simple.

How come that you, as a Serbian citizen, have to get a visa to enter Kosova? If you actually go to Merdare border checkpoint (which I doubt you know where it is since most Serbs do not...they have never been to Kosova) and present a Serbian passport, you cannot enter Kosova! you need a special vissa from UNMIK. How about that? If it is part of Serbia, logic would have it you could enter and leave anytime you wanted? Think before you speak, it is very easy to take a "throw it out there and see if it will stick" approach to making comments, but it only makes your argument weaker.
(Florin,

What kind of spreading of lie is this? Florin you have serious problem with knowledge. To enter Kosovo from which ever side one want does not need any passport, let alone visa. The only thing that is checked is Identification card, sometimes not even that. You should know that many of us have been in Kosovo after the war, many times.
Visa for Kosovo, my Goodnes, this is joke No.1. Yes, Serbs run in Kosovo to find a job since Kosovo is so developed region and need extra labour.

Ratko - No one would like what Serbia did in 1999, it's not something that a population can indulge.

Serbia had already lost the will of the people of Kosovo from the moment it was awarded that territory, however 1999 was the final straw.

Churches and monasteries aren't enough to give any country a "free pass" for the barbarities that they committed!

looks like it will stay a dream, my dear albanian friends.

but, keep cool. you will live in peace and prosperity within Serbia, and as long as no albanian greater-Albania-fascists do not provoke incidents, there won´t be further violence.

so, you don´t have to fear anything.

jovan,
you're a bit on the dillusional side if you sincerely believe this but i suggest that you cut & paste your quote and in approx. 90 days (give or take) we can revisit this issue.
it's that condescending tone in your statement about "mighty serbia" allowing us albanians to live in our own land that will field you bitter responses. also, with your social graces, you should really consider running for public office in belgrade. you'd be doing your constituents a real "service" (serbian style) like the late mr slobo.
i could easily reply to your snide comment by suggesting to you that serbs will be allowed to live in peace and prosperity in the soon to be nation of kosovE but you wouldn't like, right? so long as you do as your told and make sure you ask for permission when you feel like visiting your serbian shrines but you wouldn't like it, right?
am i correct in assuming that that left a not so pleasant taste in your mouth? i suggest you lighten up on your rhetoric and refrain from provoking others and you may get the same in return.

Kosova = Kosovo = Dardania...same thing. It's in your choice to call it whatever you like. What matters is that the majority of the population decides about its official name. Isn't that the "international law" that some in here like to "refer" to?

....so because you don't get on with us in Serbia and you don't like what we do - you want to annexe Serbian land! You are not part of Albania because you didn't like their policies...

KiM will always be a part of Serbia, simply because other Euro countries have to much to lose in recognising an autonomous region as independent - the Kurds in Turkey, northern Cyprus, Spain and its African islands, the Basque region, etc , etc...I could go on - but these are just some reasons why KiM will rightfully stay and be a cradle of the great Serbian nation.

since you say Kosova, you must be albanians. its KOSOVO.

What do you people know? You believe in what you see or read, but how many of you know how many civilian Serbs have been killed by the albanians in kosovo? How come from almost none there is 95% albanian residents in Kosovo, cumulatively more than total in the 80s, when it is known that we loose 30.000 annualy people because of our negative birth rate. It seems after all of Serbian massacres, they exponentially grow. But who am I talking to, you probably even think Kosovo is in Bosnia, since you never stepped foot on it. go and do something else, and leave our country to us.

Exactly as EA said...

The only concern those 5 countries have expressed has been fear of separatists in their own countries.

Not one of them has come out to give out crazy reasons like Belgrade and Moscow have given.

Had there been no separatist issues in these 5 countries, if I was Serbia I wouldn't even count on Greece to object to independence...because everyone in this planet knows, after 1999, the only solution is independence, whether anyone likes it or not.

You don't go out massacering 10,000 plus people, and then lose the war, and still expect any rights.

UNMIK wouldn't have happened if Serbia was still entitled to Kosovo.

Jovan

everyone also knows that if there is only a few states "recognizing" a toy-state on serbian soil agains international law and agreements...those few states only harm themselves by doing that.

If no common ground can be reached with the EU regarding the Kosova issue then each individual country should be able to decide whether to recognise or not the Kosova independence. That means democracy. Everyone knows that only a small number of countries with the EU have reservations about the Kosova independence and we all know why.
