Seems people here no nothing of the columns of Srebrenica men which organized and walked out. But this is documented in the Dutch Srebrenica Report.

And people here don't question why the commander of Srebrenica, Naser Oric, and over a dozen of Srebrenica's top military officials left Srebrenica months before the fall and never bothered to come back.

Are those the actions of those who wish to defend a city or those who've decided to ditch it? It is the later. The army didn't fight and did leave the night before the Serbs arrived. There are interviews of Srebrenica former soldiers done in St. Louis, Missouri where many of them and there families were settled.

I agree completely with your post. As I have written quite often, Srebrenica has already been listed on the list of the numerous genocides in the last century. And, in a near future, Serb and Bosnians students will read this terrible event in their new history books.

Ratko and Ida won't be able to change one iota on this reality known in te whole world.

robert0 and DimTuc, your sentiments are spot on.

Ratko & especially ida are in a constant state of Srebrenica genocide denial on this forum. Unfortunately there are many others on here who also continue to spout deluded nonsense about running battles, arranged surrenders, mannequins as corpses and all manner of such paranoid rantings.

But genocide took place in Srebrenica, the Bosnian Serb Army committed it and denying it or excusing it makes it only more despicable and shameful.

According to Ida's remarkable comment, the surrender of Srebrenica was arranged by the Bosnian Muslim leadership, and they withdraw their army before the capture to make it easier. So I guess that explains why Mladic then simply had no choice but to capture 8000 defenseless Muslims left there, after their army departed and the UN and NATO had betrayed them, and massacre them in cold blood in captivity. The logic never ceases to stun. Oh I know, the massacre victims were "really" Serbs decked out with Korans for the CNN.

when you read these first 2 responses, you can easily see why the world thinks of serbia as they do. their specific comments do not dignify a response.

"Gvero said that he ‘couldn’t stop the attacks even if there were any’ because the VRS is not attacking either UNPROFOR or the civilians in Srebrenica."

The Dutch saw no attacks on civilians, as stated here. The civilians had been gathered at Potocari, by UN orders days before, and the were given bus rides, with UN escort to Tuzla airport.

The Bosnian Muslim military had left Srebrenica the night before so there realy wasn't any fighting to be done for the Serbs to drive into Srebrenica.

It was an arranged fall by the UN and agreed to by the Bosnian Muslim leadership - for why else would they pull their large army in Srebrenica out without a fight?

Those airstrikes should have been for croatia and those muslim forces - they are the ones who created all the problems in ex-YU.
