Peggy, it was your greed and folly that led to the destruction of Yugoslavia. Of course I can't blame everything on the Serbs I can for sure blame that we learned a lot about corruption.
(KS

This was the best joke I ever heard. Do you know (since don't know how old are you) that Kosovo was a greatest source of corruption in EX Yugo and entire Europe. I remind you that Albanians were majority and had all the power then .Albanians were the ex YU leaders in corruption. Before you were taken away that autonomy that was granted to you in 1974., one could do what ever it wanted in Kosovo, to buy University degree (most popular), to buy cheap gold,to deal and traffick the drugs with the bless of Albanians high representatives, etc. Kosovo was a drug's hub. With a bit of cash the one could buy even any position in job.

All this was happening before famous Milosevic. When Serbs took over the power in Kosovo some order was established. I don't say that corruption ceased to exist but certainly has lost of its endemic character.

However, Albanians did not like the law and order and thus created parallel institutions and famous basement University where the one could still buy any degree wished along with all the other criminal activites. However, drug trafficking in Kosovo during 90's ( when Serbs took over the control) was in about same level as it was lets say in Europe.

Nowadays, under the Albanians and Albanian governing, Kosovo is one of the world's greatest hubs for not only drug but human trafficking as well.

Corruption reached its highest level, so high that corruption is seen as a something normal and commonly accepted.

Before you point the finger at others , look at the place around yourself, look at yourslef at the mirror and thereafter try to make honest analysis.

"Secondly, If I was a Serb I would not dare accuse anybody of being antidemocratic. When you deny a whole ethnic group ( the Albanians) the right to vote for the constitution you can not lecture anyone else on democracy."

Well this is the reason why as the Serbian state would have no control or ability to check how free, fair and honest the voting would have been amongst the Kosovo Albanians.

The Albanians in Central Serbia were able to vote in the referendum and the parliamentry election.

Who cares about elections in southern Serbia? They mean absolutely nothing. The US/EU Kosovo fiasco is a farce. An ill-conceived attempt to better their own position in the Balkans, that is now coming back to haunt them. They wish now they never even said the word "Kosovo", in the '90's. You can bet your farm on that.

"PM Djindjic (he was never president)"
I am sorry, I meant PM Djindjic.
The point is, Serbs are in no position to lecture democracy to anyone, let alone to those who have been harshly oppressed and suffered precisely due to the lack of democracy in Serbia, K-Albanians.

Corruption isn't something new, and it does happen around the globe. However, this does not excuse what happened in Kosovo. Let me start by saying that Kosovo should become its own sovereign nation, we deserve it, but I think time has come for us as citizens of Kosovo to accept the responsibility and take the blame for what happened on Nov. 17, 2007. Al Gore lost in 2000 because of the manipulations done, but just because these acts happen in the country that we idealize does not mean that it is ok. I love to be able to travel and not have to deal with this stupid UN passports, but manipulating votes is illegal and those in charge should be punished. Hope my fellow Kosovar friends agree with this, because it is embarrassing.

Is this something that we already didn't suspect. Don't worry, you won't be able to create your "greater albania" - particularly with Thaci in the room next to Gotovina.

They can share their war stories for the next 20 plus years!!

KS. Give it up will you. You learned from the Serbs to be corrupt. What are you, little impressionable children. You learn right from wrong from your parents not from the politicians.
There is corruption in politics in every country so let's blame Serbia's neighbours as well.
Let's blame the whole world except Albanians themselves.
If you can't take responsibility for your own actions you are not ready to rule a hen house let alone a country.

First of all these people need to be put in prison.

miri. Who is this presdient you speak off -- I though it was PM Djindjic (he was never president). Plus, the death of a president means almost nothing about a democracy. JFK and Lincoln, arguably the greatest American presidents, were killed. So by your logic then America is not a democracy.

And just few days ago Albanians were boasting around that elections were held in European manner.´Albanians reached high level of maturity and as such ready for independence which is just around the corner ( just don't know how many years away is that corner) Excellent :)

Peggy

KS. What a lame excuse for corruption. Now blaming Serbia for your dishonesty.

What next? Blame Serbia when you don't get enough rain or too much?

You want to be take seriously, start acting that way instead of always looking for scape goat.

"Democracy in Kosovo at its best! My you albanians have learned so much."

Give us a break will you? You killed your own president just few years ago.
