I would really love to see Ban's face...I truly pity him. He came into this job and got dumped with the Kosovo issue at it's climax. I can tell you this wont be a carrier builder for him. How irresponsible to allow someone with no clue of what has happened or has been going on to make a decision. I think he needs a hug... ;)
EU does not wish to take over UNMIK and will not take over duties of UNMIK. UNMIK duties will be duties of Kosova Institutions. EU will be monitoring on Justice and deal with policing and customs . EU will not be a capacity building mission but monitoring … It is not rocket since to fond out what EU will do …
Princip mention’s 1244 resolution that allows KFOR to secure the borders of Kosova. This part of 1244 will stay but the other parts will be not be changed and wont apply to future status. 1244 will stay to allow countries like Greece, Cyprus, Romania that oppose Independence. I don’t wont to go any further to describe to Serb camp what International law is, self determination and diplomacy.
