Im sure ur not english but it doesnt matter. Serbs will give up Kosovo only when the colonialist england gives up Whales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland for good. Wait, NOT EVEN THEN. Why would/should we. Let whomever wishes to recognise Kosovo recognise them. They know they cant keep their troops there forever. Resolution 1244 clearly states Kosovo is part of Serbia.

Jovan,
Sweden supported Intervention despite no UN resolution.
(we paid the price, or late FM was bucherd by e serbian)
And Sweden will recognise Kosovo without a UN resolution.
In both cases, it has nothing to do with support of serbians or Kosovars, but both actions fi finde to be in the best interesst of Civilised world in general, and ballkan nations (incl serbian ones) in particulair.

If the UN/EU/NATO had made clear before the elections that there will be NO independence without Serbia agreeing, I am sure the most Serbs had take part!

Very stupid of the West. Now you are in a situation that most Serbs did not participate cause they did not want to be seen as saying yes to independence.

It is time the West will say what the situation is. We all know what that will be: NO INDEPENDENCE WITHOUT SERBIA AGREEING!

Too much time is lost already...

If Ruecker is smart he will renew the Serb leaders. What a slap in the face to Albanians but I am sure he wont care as much as he cares about Kosovo's multi ethnic image problem it would create if he doesn't renew the Serb leadership into their rightful spots.

Will of the people! KS --

The will of people have spoken Kosovo remains Serbia...majority rules ;)

We got our constitution where yours?...Tirana I bet.

That would be just fine. Serbian community in Kosova should have its representatives in the Kosova Government as well. I'm sure that even Albanian politicians would agree with this decision. Serbian minority of Kosova are always welcomed to share the power with the Albanian majority. This has been the moto of all governments of Kosova for the last 8 years, since Kosova started to function as a de facto Independent State.

one general question: how is it, that so many Albanians are hiding ( quite ineffectually ) behind english or at least western-sounding nick-names?

I mean, it is not only Toni "ballkan" UK ..."the Swede", ...there are countless other guys ( or is it only a few changing their alter ego time and again? )

why do they think this works for their cause?

I will never understand that.

Jovan you have to face the fact that those people won legaly and democratically.

Erecting Serb leaders into these Albanian positions would be the UN's work of installing a government. Will of the people!

I guess the ethnic-Albanians should realise that this is a strong signal of their self perceived "independence" - i.e. over rule by an appointed, unelected and unrepresentative UN technocrat who decides all the rules for them. Now they want the same under the EU who will only pay their own staff wages and bring little in terms of investment! I guess we know who wears the trousers in UNMIKISTAN and thats not the local leadership!

Oh what an undemocratic web we weave ......

Hm,interessting move from Rucker and UNMIK.
I trust Mr Rucker and UNMIK is in the best position to make a decision as such, however seems a bit odd.
Elected people on a free and democratic election should eule, having said that this idea might just work, and should be implemented provided it is acceptable to the elected ones and the Kosovar new governement accepts this as a solution in the countrys' best interesst.
Personally I wouls suggest in the best case, power is shared betwin elected ones and the ones that were prevented to take part during the election process, but are happy to continue in their post.

Mr. Ruecker should resign...he is useless.

KS: kosova doesn´t exist! Kosovo...is an integral part of Serbia... read UNSC 1244 again! and again... and again... until you get it.
