If Kosovo declares independance Northern Kosovo with it's Serbian minority should declare one as well. The best answer for the whole problem in Kosovo.

Jovan,
I did and still do condemn that crime agains that poor woman.
I stand by my statement, always. Whats right is right.
In the case of this search, the NATO and UNMIK forces are rightfylly searching for weapons so there is no surprizes.
There is nothing wrong with that. As long as it is a routine search, and does not hurt anyone.

Please everyone take of your nationalistic eye-glasses. UNMIK should search and take away the guns from every part of Kosova, North, South, East, West and they are doing it. I personally believe that the West should take away guns from every Balkan state for a period of at least 50 years, until this generation of soldier-nations dies off. Less guns, more thinking, real power balances. After 50 years, maybe the other generation will even refuse to re-militarize.

There are lots of weapons in the north, Serbia sends plenty. Where do you think the "civilian" guards get their weapons from? Where did the Serbs get the weapons from during the Srebenica..I mean the Bosnian war?

They did and still do searches on other parts of Kosova, mainly on Albanian populated areas.

They never did such searches on Serbian's populated areas thanks to political correctness.

Its about time they started in whole Kosova.

This is funny. A legitimate search operation is being 'outrightly' branded discriminatory against Serbs.

It's still rule of law, no?

I find the invasion of privacy distasteful and only to be used as a last resort. However, in this case it may be justified simply to ensure the least amount of violence in the coming months. The good thing is it turned up clean. I’d say the Serbian side seemed to be staying within the rules of international diplomacy. Even the Serbian Deputy Defense Minister is attempting to crack down on wannabe paramilitary groups.

I do see a problem in a lack of interest in conducting searches in the south. The large amounts of weapons turning up from Macedonia raids lately ought to put UNMIK on high alert. They truly do seem to be turning a blind eye towards the potential violence in Kosovo by the Albanian side.

or like the Albanians in two world wars...or even before that, as the willing executioners of the ottomans...

although Lazer is still the only Albanian, who has condemned the crimes against serbian civilians...like the beating of an 76-year old woman in Priština this summer... I must say that...

I think the Albanians aren´t really in the position to blame the Serbs by referring to history..

Only parts where they suspect Serbian paramilitaries, since they have a gruesome history of commiting atrocities against Albanian population like last 100 yeras

Ridiculous! They know where to search for the weapons but not dare to do it. Real arsenal is in South. Nato is really doing thier best to expel and kill Serbian minority in North. NATO have no any plans to protect Serbs.

Are they going to search the whole of Kosovo or just the Serbian parts?

Do they believe that the rest of Kosovo is unarmed or they clearly want to leave the Serbian population vulnerable to Albanian attacks if they refuse to subordinate themselves to the KLA government.
