Some of you self determination people are lost, you're probably all smart students who think because you have read a book and exchanged air with a professor, you think you know everything, please watch self determination movements grow, the muslim communities will push their right to self determination in north east england.

For the last ten years muslims in Yorkshire cried for autonomy, we had three mass riots since 1996, last one being August 2001, covering, bradford, bury and parts of Oldham.

In the east of Manchester Indian/Pakistanis families are pushing for Christmas to be abolished in english state run schools just because they are a majority.

Most of you do not see the spiral/dominoe effect that will follow any support for Kosovo Independence.

Human beings only learn the hard way, due to arrogance and a lack of understanding and recognition of historical factors.

Kosovo: 1999 to 2007, this movie is ending, Kosovo: 2007 to 2012 is coming to home theatre soon.

Any forces that would impose their will on other nations will certainly face defeat ~General Vo Nguyen Giap (Vietnam)

Also for any aspiring EU players, think about this, you have until December 10th;

EU Expansion: Planning requirements are arranged in three orders of importance reflecting the scale, directness and immediacy of the risk or benefit to regional interests. (EU CSFP)

The last paragraph is obviously regarded as just text, if not applied correctly, Kosovo will be independent and the EU will descend.

i told u he is going to receive the biggest warning ever.

if serbia got the wrong meaning of democracy and freedom, they must be waked up from the tales their politicians use to tell them, and give them wrong meaning of what democracy and freedom is.

"Milosevic is gone, and the kind of politics he used is now heavily discredited - even within Serbia!"

I don't think that's the case. They murdered your prime minister Milosevic style. You current prime minister declares holly war to the USA.
Your current prime minister and other ministers declare NATO is the enemy of the Serbs.
Nothing has changed from Milosevic. His ideological children now are prime minster and president.

I think Serbs need to sober up. Even if Russia and Serbi recognize Wales or any other place in the world, it will not make a difference. Ok so tomorrow Russia recognizes Texas to be part of Mexico. You know what is going to happen. The next day Texas will still be part of the US.

Kosovo is Serbia and soon enough we will watch the recognishion of Whales by Serbia and Russia. This guy is asking u nicely... if this goes through in any way shape or form, it will give a green light to about 100 cold conficts to restart. But that is just repeating ourselves. Russia should just announce their intentions right away. However, they are waiting for US, UK or France to shoot themselves in the foot first.

This is spot-on.

The UK should reward the democratic ideal that is now an essential part of Serbian politics. Milosevic is gone, and the kind of politics he used is now heavily discredited - even within Serbia!

The wisdom of not rewarding Milosevic for his nationalism was correct - but the biggest ethnic cleansing in Kosovo has been done against Serbs - and that must not be rewarded either. Neither must it be allowed to be a precedent for other conflicts.

The EU is a good institution for negotiation and agreements beneficial to all parties. That approach is far superior to the US model of unilateral independence.

The people of Kosovo deserve a good autonomous future - but not through hate driven politics.

So Jeremic is preaching to the choir now!!
Isn't this the same parlament that made Kosova a gift to Serbia almost a century ago? Mr. Jeremic, you abused the british generosity. You enjoyed that gift for almost a century and it looks like you didn't deserve it afterall. It's time to give the gift back now.

So finally the Serbs relayed that they can not deal with western countries with force or aggression, little late but not to late they still have what to save by doing this (Vojvodina, Sandzac, Presheva Valley, etc). It is very annoying when you hear Serb leaders talking about "protection of international law" when they are the first ones who violated this law by expelling their own citizens, on the other hand is even funnier when you hear Russia talking about "international law precedent" when they are creating the worse precedent in the history of humanity the precedent which calls every dictator or country in the world to massacre their citizens because Russia will protect your countries integrity and soverenity. So you think that west democratic countries will let this go, I am pretty sure they won’t. For Serbia to became normal country and democratic of what Serbian leaders are talking about is to first apologize to all Balkan countries to whom they did harm, second to pay each country for war damage that they did to them, to return all the despaired people that they still hold in their massive graves within Serbia and rewrite the whole history and map of their country. This is must condition in order for Serbia to convince the world that they are really protecting the international law and democracy.

Mr Jeremic,

Have you heard about the Self-determination. I think that apart form Serbia everybody in this plane have heard about it and are willing to respect it. You offer of Autonomy should be applied to Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegja region.
Democracy in Serbia is put on risk because of your politics. You have not answered to the requests of majority of Serbia population. You have instead chosen to go with housewife’s, pensioners and Princip, Kate, Jovan and Ron. Sorry mate but that is a minority it is only 20% of the population so I am afraid but you have to go.
I know than this would be a very bad reference and would look quite bad in you CV but life is such.

Mr Jeremic it is shame for you to come to London and cry for help, and what help to give you support to opress people for the sake of democracy it is apsolutely mad and immaturity by BG leaders.
That kind of language and diplomacy you can use it with komunist countries but not in the house of commons.
What a pitty ,,democratic servival at stake''

Mark Green - you hit the nail right on the head. For me the "hong kong" model is really the "lesotho" model. The autonomy they are offering is the autonomy to starve. Kosovo Albanians would have no say in Serbian decisions affecting them, but full autonomy to accumulate debt and administrate their albanian population -since Serbs and non-albanians would remain subject to Serbian authority - through their salaries, education system, health care, etc.

Serbia is offering Lesotho, not freedom.

I congratulate Jeremic on his words and the great opportunity he has had to let the British parlimentarians have a true understanding of what the US folly can predictably lead to. Let us all hope the Uk parlimentarians have little doubt in their minds that to do as the US would wish is tantemount to creating the greatest instability possible in the region and globally - far from the US false ascertion that it is inevitable and would make the region stable.

The choice is upto the UK parlimentarians - do you wish to set off the US made time bomb or would you rather work within international norms and laws towards a lasting stability for all of Serbia's citizens including the ethnic-Albanians in its southern province.

It is time that all the Serbian citizens who want a better future for themseleves and the next generations accepted the state they are in and started working together fully at making Serbia a better place for all irrespective of ethnicity.

Mark Green

Seems to me the only winners with autonomy is Serbia. One they get to keep Kosovo within Serbia, Two they don't have intergrate the Kosovo Albanian population into Serbia and Three the cost of running Kosovo is down to the EU and the USA. While the Albanians knowing that any solution short of independence is a win for Serbia. The Albanians also know that they only have to wait and independence will be theirs, so why would they want an autonomy offer which does them no good.
