The european average is roughly 100 deaths/((million people)*year).

In Serbia its about 1000/8 = 125,
which is rather a very good figure.

In greece, with all the funding for new roads, full with new mercedes/audi/bmw/lexus/toyota/honda/subaru

and we got....
1500 deaths only in 2005.

Driving thru the Serbian E75 many times,
i felt the safest driving moments of my life.
Very pleasant to the mind (as anything in Serbia).

This message is to EVERYONE in the Balkans:
1. It is NOT macho to drive without a seatbelt
2. Drink driving is NOT cool
3. Speeding is NOT a sign of bravery
4. It is better to buy a Lada in good mechanical condition than to buy 20 year old BMW 318i with no brakes/steering/suspension just because it looks sporty.
