Olf, Pristina gov has more to prove than Belgrade. What has Pristina done in the past 8yr besides letting organised crime flurish. Most of the bribe money for unmik & kfor is coming from that. Why doesn't Pristina try to stop organized crime? Because they are paid off too. Sure every gov has its corruption, but Pristna at least in Europe takes the cake. Get off your high horse Olf Kosovo is a disaster after 8yr & no minority rights what so ever.

UNMIK I would not say is corrupt because I have no evidence, but, I know for a fact that their salaries are out of the roof. So when someone asks where those 2billion go every year, ask international cops who are making a killing.

I congratulate Gashi for honesty and bravery. This is how it should work everywhere. I hope that he would also unveil some Albanian politican, but there is still time to do it. As for UNMIK, what to say. It is an old story and everybody know it. They are mostly of suspicious character.

Goes to show what kind of people are trying to steal Serbian land... corrupt officials who would like to control the organized crime.

Also goes to show what america is all about - supporting corrupt albanian "officials."
(Ratko, 12. November 2007 16:00) - goes to show that albanians will never again accept to be part of Serbia!

U need to be better informed about UNMIK cuz it's not only Americans who work there. there are indians jordans tordans shordans mordans and all kinda people working there half of them don't even speak english.

Eventually we will get independence and build strong kosovo where law and justice dominates.

we will! we have strugled enough for 100 years, since 1912.

These are the people that are supposed to bring peace and stability to the region, and we find them lining their pockets with cash and collaborating with organized crime. Meanwhile the ordinary people of Kosovo (Serbs, Albanians, others) continue to struggle. I sincerely hope EUMIK is better than UNMIK, though it's going to be very difficult for it to get any worse!

The UN staff doesn't want to leave Kosovo becaue they have it so good - they are highly paid and many get bonus bribe money. Who knows how many more years they will stay in Kosovo.

Well, at least they are transparent not like Serbian politicians that are still seating in their seats, making plenty of money and capital from their taxpayers money, taxpayers that are constantly complaining for corrupt politicians. So, Delije and Ratko, why don’t you look where Serbia’s taxpayers money goes better. UNMIK and Kosova can take care of their own matters as they have been doing for past 8 years

It is true that many UNMIK (sometimes very high ranking) are corrupt. I know this for a fact. It is also true that they make things for diffcult for people to encourage bribes.

Most of the money that was donated for Kosovo, went to extremly high salaries of UNMIK staff and other international workers.

The was a case on a newspaper when sone foreigner working in Kosovo was getting around 100 euros a day to buy lunch!!!!

Theifs!

I'm glad there are Albanians that are doing something about this problem in Kosovo. This is a problem that finaly is being adressed. I'm sure this Tom guy is a target now but good for him. He should start in the Pristina gov and crack this investigtion wide open. Good luck Tom.

Good for Gashi! Its about time somebody stood up to the corrupt at UNMIK and the way they are abusing their positions and cooperating with the local mafia.

You have to feel for ordinary people in Kosovo. They dont feel free to say anything apart from 'indepedence' and yet most know what real problems Kosovo is facing. It takes courage in that kind of situation to condemn UNMIK.
