Actually, the U.S. hospitals have a lot of antibiotic resistant bacterial infections I think its called MRSA - and its deadly. The patients usually pick it up after surgery and sometimes never get rid of it - even if they live.

Markane,
Thanks for correcting my typo, there certainly is a vaccine for Hep A.
The following info might be helpful for those who want to learn about the virus.

there is a vaccine for hep A + B but there is no vaccine for hep C. serbia's heath system is crumblingt due to no health funding and poor sanitation in the local hospitals were doctors and nurses still smoke in the corridors and wards.

"Another indication of the extreme poverty levels in Serbia."

What an extreme response and not always true.

If poverty were the strongest indication of cleanliness, then bacterial outbreaks would not occur in US hospitals, schools and nursing homes.

Cooking food thoroughly and washing your hands after every bathroom use applies to both the rich and the poor.

The best prevention for hepatitis A is really good hand washing. It is often passed on by those who handle
food and/or anyone who has the virus and does not wash their hands after using the bathroom.
Their is no vaccine for Hep A
