In exactly what sense do you find this Finnish mass murderer desperate? Because he was an above average student in school? Because he came from an average family? Because he saw himself as intellectually superior to others? Because he posted violent videos in the internet?
Personally I don't see anything desperate in him and find his deeds impossible to justify in any way.
Are you saying school authorities have used violence against certain students, rather than hauling them into the office for a formal resolving of the matter?
As an educator who spent part of his life in schools, I often warned school authorities against violence against certain students. At one time or another, this daily violence is no longer manageable and desperate students commit the irreparable.
This is so sad news. I am really shocked since knowing Finns as calm people. My condolences to Finnish people. I hope the victims and gunman will rest in peace guarded by the angels
