Serbia, EU initial association agreement

Eagle - do you really believe after yesterday's report that Kosovo is anywhere read to become independent or join the EU??

Weather Kosovo is independent or not they will not be able to join any organizations.

There are countries who are in oppostion to Kosovo independence in WTO, UN, EU, NATO

and if even ONE countries vetos there entry its over. Greece Cyprus Romania Slovakia Spain will veto any NATO and EU membership for Kosovo

China and Russia will veto there WTO and UN membership

if Kosovo is declared indepenedent it will cripple

It's clear that the EU wants to give EU admission to Serbia in order to keep Serbian nationalist at bay over Kosova Independence Day.

Happy days for both side I say, we should move on...

To bad the albanians can't or don't want to understand that.
Of course they can always repeat their mantra "independence on the 11th december" like a broken record, but that don't make it any more true.

Even if I told myself that pigs can fly 100 times a day, it would still not be true, just like the "so called" independence of Kosovo-Metohija

i am a serb and i think that kosovo should be partitioned peacefully and everyone should move on. Serbs cannot continue living with violence, there is no future in Kosovo. just partition it and get it over with. serbs have been completely cleansed and kosovo is gone. just take what you can and get out of it. kosovo will crumble independently and it will only be a matter of time until kosovars attack and international troops should they get independence. there is a reason why kosovo was and is the poorest region on former jugoslavia and now serbia, bc unfortunately albanians live there. lets work on getting republika srpska and end the hatred.

Well , actually they have one big advantage. They don`t need to jin the EU. Whatever the outcome of those talks would be or however tehe region would be named ( "autonomous province" or "independent country" ) ,the EU will rule there. And i think they will do everything to integrate them into the union as fast as possible.

I think this a good news for Serbia. I have nothing agains for Serbia to join EU, this way Kosovo will have a strong economical neighbour. Hope by the end of the year for both, Kosovo and Serbia that the things will work out well to join the EU.
