SAA initialing expected next week

I have no doubt that the SAA agreement will be initialed but there is a clear lack of will within the EU to really create the much needed opportunity to push the whole Western Balkans (all the former Yugoslav states and Albanina) into the EU collectivly which is really the best way of resolving many of the potential flash points. All soverign states in the Western Balkans need to be pushed on with hope not constantly hit with sticks and in taking a fully inclusive approach much of the ethnic tensions could be bridged. For both the Serbs and Albanians throughout the region in one fell swoop much of the division could be overcome as the European psyche balances some of the national extremes. Within the EU a border (be it a provincial or state boundary) no longer has the same significance but regions can have local self governing institutions.

Sadly the EU seem to be focusing their efforts on putting off an inclusive approach to the Western Balkans and only this week put off FYRO Makedonia and equally are destabilising the peace in BiH with the constant meddling of democratic system by external unelected technocrats who contradict themselves.

Hope remains that the "European" solution continues to gain support in the coming months rather then be divided by US foreign "dumya" policy.

Olf, oh dear I don't know if you had not noticed but America and Europe are on seperate continents and are not one and the same supra national organistation. The EU is not a state of the US and is not dictated to by the US but you keep thinking that way when the 11th Decemeber comes and goes with

No Illegal declaration
No Illegal recognition
and accep the state your in.

Princip, I would like to add to your coment one more thing and that is That Eu cannot move anywhere without US backing. US is the driving power in EU.

Olf the EU was created specifically so Europeans nations do not have to rely on the US. Try mentioning exactly what you just did to any EU MP and watch the reaction on their face.

That's way status of Kosovo must be defined ASAP... Package is not and can not be complete with one missing element - independent Kosovo.
Good luck to Kosovo on its own way and to the 'package' towards EU integrations...

Dont kid yourselves. Serbia has done nothing to deserve further discussions on EU entry. Serbia's very poor and in economic shambles. Not to mention hiding war criminals, Kosovo and now with interference in Bosnia. No to Serbia in the EU!

Serbia should stay out of EU&NATO.
Why should we join EU? Cause of the money? no we can make a good standard of living without them. Maybe we would need more time, but then we would be indepandent nation. Like Switzerland.
I hope that the number of EU supporters in Serbia will fall down. As our economy goes better and living standard improves, the number of EU supporters goes down.
My fellow friends, we should never sell our selfs to somebody who showed only a disrespect to us in the past few years.

listen if Serbia was rich we would never join EU.
Second Serbia is doing much better then most of the neighbors. Whits is incredible whit the damage we endured in 99.
And 3rd Serbia is very stable country if you look on whats going on right now.

That's way status of Kosovo must be defined ASAP... Package is not and can not be complete with one missing element - independent Kosovo.
