Serbs are still singing the same old song... " we are the best, we can do anything we are the first nobody is better than us" and so on and so on but at the same time they are just sitting down and not moving on with the reality.
I think its time to stop the empty propaganda because this propaganda is only fooling you and nobody else.

Don't get me wrong EA. All I am saying is that it doesn't make sense to me to constantly repeat yourself (ie: Kosovo will get independance mantra), after every article that B92 posts. Its just seems strange to me to be the first person posting all the time, but repeating the same mantra.

EA,

The best case scenario for Serbia and the EU is an open visa policy and free trade, NOT second class citizenship.

We should not be forced to choose between friendly relations with either the EU or only Russia.

In fact the EU is already benefiting from our close relationship to Russia in that France is trading with Russia through Serbia because of our more generous trade agreements with Russia.

Our position is healthy for the EU in the long term. Eventually Russia, being a European state, will join giving a good balance between Eastern and Western countries at that time. The interests of a few countries, UK, France and Germany SHOULD NOT dictate their demands onto the rest of Europe. A united Europe including Russia and possibly Turkey would be the most powerful country known in man’s history. I suggest your people foster a similar relationship with Turkey that we are with Russia.

Both our people, Serbs and Albanians, have the same problem with our populations being scattered around various countries. If would be in the best interest of both our people to find a regional solution for all our population to ensure we both have adequate representation in world bodies and international communities.

You guys are way too busy thinking about your immediate desires than planning for a peaceful and prosperous future for all of Europe, Russia included.

That being said, Mladic should simply turn himself in and do us all a favor. Regardless of whether its fair or not to hold an entire country hostage for just one man, this silliness has to stop.

The only place where Serbia can "spearhead" anyone is Siberia and Moscow. Why do these people loose time with others instead of working on themselves first?

Tesla,
Just for your knowledge. My home country is Albania and the United Kingdom. I have nothing against ordinary Serbs. I have a couple of friends here in the UK and we have worked together. I support the Kosovar Albanians cause because I strongly believe their are right in their demand for full independence from Serbia. I was studying in UK when the ethnic cleansing happened in Kosova and my family and relatives in Tirana gave shelter to many Kosovar Albanians forced to leave their homes by the Serbian government. Obviously I have followed the situation in Kosova very closely since and read informations from different sources and languages. I don't know what exactely you mean by being "more constuctive". Let's face the reality. Two independent countries Kosova and Serbia, Friendship Pact between the two and equal right for both Serb minorities in Kosova and Albanian minorities in Presevo, Bujanovc and Medvegja.

EA, I was wondering what would happen if you channeled that energy to be the first person to post on every B92 article, into something more constructive. Serbia belongs to both Serbs and Albanians, and I feel it would be more constructive to refrain from constantly bashing your home country. That is called treason in many countries.

Do you see how tolerant we Serbs are, to allow you to post whatever your heart desires, despite your malevolent intentions?

To add to Genc's comment, there also needs to be Slovenian work ethic fully implemented in Serbia. What good is Serbia being an economic leader when less than 10% of the population have access to the wealth, control the wealth, and regulate the wealth? Furthermore, what good will economic potential for the entire country be if only Belgrade and Novi Sad are islands of capital investment, but the rural countryside continues to slip further into poverty and isolation? There's a major difference between Vojvodina and SandzAk, between Sremska Mitrovica and Trgoviste. In order for Serbia to be the Germany of the Balkans, it first needs to get a number of internal matters in order, chief among them a final stance on Kosovo. No good can come to the entire country if politicians are still fixed on it even though they will have no control over it.

In short, one cannot lead a country to economic prosperity if those in power have neither the skills, the resources, nor the inclination to do so. Nigeria is a perfect example of rich resources and poor planning.

genc

pre 16 godina

Well, let me seriously doubt it. The economical potential may be all in place, the majority of Serbs may want it, but as long Kostunica (Putin's longa manus) + Nikolic > 50% that's simply not going to happen.

EA,

Your economy is at third world levels. Your clan system, the way you treat UNESCO heritage sites and ancient churches, your complete lack of tolerance to anything not albanian...All this goes to show that you don't belong in Europe.
Serbia, on the othe hand, is the most multi-cultural and tolerant country in the Balkans, and has a surging economy that will be number one in the region.

What idea is that?

You took a quote, interpreted it for your own means, added a few of your own words, and returned it for discussion..

Just for EA's satisfaction: The future of Serbia lies within (or near, in a Norway/Switserland model) the EU.
It would be ridiculous from a geographical, historical and practical point of view to become 'part of the Russian federation'.
Good ties with Russia can be one of Serbia's future great assets. We're already seeing some of the economic benefits of this intermediate position.

"The EP’s resolution reserved its harshest criticism for corruption within Serbia and the country’s justice system, and Kacin said it would take a long time for the Serbian legal system to meet the required European standards".
As it stands it is more likely that the future of Serbia lies in te Russian Federation. It is interesting that none of the Serbs here has objected that idea))
