Peter...we all know that Europe discriminates and judges Albanians because the assumed religious majority in the country is muslim.

There are what, 8-10 million Albanians in the world? Right, and how many Europeans are there in the world? Like 700 million?

What about all the millions of non-Albanian criminals that Europe has?

Somehow to Europe those criminals are bad but not as bad as the Albanian ones...even though they do the same thing.

When it comes to Europe, Albanians are no longer fazed by it's gross ignorance and prejudice. They know all too well that "EU unity" is a big lie, and it certainly is no valid reason to sacrifice themselves!

Kosovo is also responsible for illegal activity ahmet, sorry but many people in Europe associate Albanians with mafia and heroin. As someone who has traveled a bit through Europe and engaged in lots of political discussions, I know.

It is not a separate country yet, but yes, it isn't a part of Serbia (aside from its borders as per UNSC).

Please built that WALL. There is NOTHING that Srbija can offer to Kosova in the shape that they are in. Serbija needs to earn the right to reopen borders with Kosova. Serbija needs to clean itself from war criminals, extremists, and daydreamers if they want to prove that they are worth to have relations to Kosova. A last thing that a new state needs is to have relations with the state of Serbija. Maybe in future it could reopen borders but for now it is a big NO. I am sure that Macedonija, Albania and Montenegro would benefit from this as well.
In addition, with Kostunica in power the russian bases will most likely be built right behind the wall. Serbija will sell all of their vital companies to Russian owners, giving russians a permanent ticket to stay in Serbija. A time will come that Serbija will realize that russian presence will mean russian occupation. Therefore, we will be grateful for the wall.

As I am reading post # 14, I can see that Peter has come to its sences to recognize that Kosova is a country and not part of Serbia.

I love it!

The closing of borders will permanently detach Serbia and Kosovo, and bring Kosovo closer to Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro.

This was done in purpose because while Mr. rupel was in Belgrade he told them flat out that he fully supports Kosova Independence. This was a pay back but this move will come to hunt serbia.
By the way , I agree with serboslav and i wish a 15 feet high wall will be built between Kosova and Serbian states, because a lot of ilegal activities will stop coming into Kosova from Serbia. Serboslav, please build that wall ASAP, Please.

Serbia is Kosovo's second biggest trading partner after Macedonia, and I don't think Kosovo should be cutting contact with any countries with the state their economy is in.

Seems like nobody is talking about the real question.
Why was the flight not permited?
Is the serbian Gvmnt blackmailing?
This road is a dead end. This way of thinking is going to take you nowhere. People thinking like Serbslav must open their mind and go beyond what they learned at school.

The thing is that we need each other one side more and one side less(I could not tell you which is more and which is less).
We need to go through Serbia to get to CE and you need to go throug Albanian land in Kosova, Macedonia and Albania to get to the Ports of Durres and Saloniki.

Kosovo's economy is anyway. The black market is the strongest running activity. Drugs and women will just go through Albania and then Italy. Closing the Border with Serbia just takes away some of the methods they can hide the illegal activity.

Wow!! After 12 years of sanctions, wars and isolation the govt. leaders think the best way to handle Kosova's Independence is by building a wall around itself...Again!! This time initiated by themselves! True geniuses, I say!! Nietzsche is correct in what he said and I too wonder if Belgrade and other urban Serbian shopkeepers will lower the price of bread and milk when this wall is built around Serbia?

The more isolated Serbia gets towards Kosova, as faster the integration of Albanians in the Balkans. So, just do it please! Nobody's gonna die, it will only justify the Albanian Unification in the eyes of the international community. This is how Kosova became an international crissis to begin with, so...please, do it!

What Albanian products?

contraband from Serbia proper to Kosovo?!

The facts are that Albanians from Kosova buy about 35% of all their produce, dairy, and other goods from Serbia. Serb farmers need to sell to Kosova . This is best illustrated with the fact that some products of Serbija are cheaper to buy in Kosova and Montenegro than in Serbija. Before you use the anti-albanian propaganda do some research!!! It might be best thing that you ever done to inform yourself.

Srboslav, if you want to implement Helms-Burton act, in case illegal independence of Kosovo is proclaimed, Serbian airspace should be permanently closed for all carriers having flights from and to Pristina, even on their routes flying over Serbia elsewhere.

In order to use U.S airspace, German and other european carriers establish charter companies flying solely to Cuba.

Air corridor over Serbia is busy one for transcontinental flights and air carriers are already operating on a shoestring budget. Let them decide if it is in their financial interest to fly criss cross over Balkans.

That move will make Albanian buy products from Albania, Macedonija, and Montenegro. It is perfectly fine because one should do businiss with those who want to do businiss.
As far as airspace, remember that we can allways fly over Albania, Macedonija and even Montenegro. After all we do not need to fly to Rumania or Russia. Such a big loss for Kosova!!!!

No aircraft departing from or going to Pristina can use the Serbian Airspace. But it is not a big problem for Pristina airport, nor the companies. The only looser in this subject is Serbian airtraffic control, which doesnt earn a penny in all the overflights they could have.

Don't worry, most of flights to Kosovo do not fly through Serbia anyway. They fly over Albania to Kosovo, or Montenegro.

Look at a map! Unluckily for you,Kosovo is not landlocked by Serbia on all sides!

I do hope that Serbia blocks all the borders and airspace and everything else.
It will only stop illegal contraband coming in from Serbia, and it will encourage us to have stronger ties with Albania and Macedonia. That would be a great favour, so I agree with you.

Srboslav

SHOULD Kosovo became independent I hope that Serbia will close its airspace for good for flights goint to and from Kosovo. An copy of the israeli wall around the albanian parts of Kosovo should also be fine. Finally all trading and cooperation should be outlawed with Kosovo albanians and their authorities. The american model of tradingsanctions against Cuba would be a good model to start with. No allowing of traffic from Kosovo into Serbia.

Good luck on developing your economical "independence" under those circumstances. Add to that that Kosovo will never be able to join the EU, NATO or UN.

The drugsmuggling and human trafficing will be the only business that will be able to continue through Albania and Montenegro in the future.
