EA, or it should be like this:

""While talks continue, Kosovo's ethnic serbs are promising to follow through on a threat to declare independence unilaterally from Kosovo in December if there is no settlement".
There would be no settlement until Kosovo albanians insists on Kosovos integration in Serbia. And The albanians will insist on that as long as it has the American support. On this basis I don't see any point based on these "negotiations". In other words these "negotiations" are a waste of time."

EA, KS,

Sudan and South Sudan made a deal: there will be a referendum on independence.

If Serbia and Kosovo make such a deal: no problem.

If not... well: Kurdistan, Southern Philipines, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Basque....

You are not alone.

According to Russian officials, Moscow could vote in favour of an independent Kosovo if Pristina and Belgrade reach agreement between themselves first.

“The Russian position will consist of three points. One of them is to achieve some kind of agreement with those in the EU who support the idea of postponing the independence of Kosovo. The second is to come to a sort of agreement with the Albanians – as you know, they visited the Kremlin and promised not to promulgate independence unilaterally. The third problem is how to co-operate with the Serbian side. The Serbs will not agree to the unilateral independence,” commented Artyom Ulunian from Moscow-based Institute of World History.

That is ODD. What kind of an agreement..like a Friendship Pack?

"While talks continue, Kosovo's ethnic Albanian majority is promising to follow through on a threat to declare independence unilaterally in December if their is no settlement".
There would be no settlement until Serbia insists on its sovereignity of Kosova. And Serbia will insist on that as long as it has the Russian support. On this basis I don't see any point based on these "negotiations". In other words these "negotiations" are a waste of time.
