In terms of America, they are the worlds most potent fundamentalisms, and are ruining the world, but sometimes you benefit from such events such as the Kosovars. America and Democracy are the sources of all our problems!!!

This is merely a threat to NATO by the americans to make EU states send more troops to afghanistan, if EU states do not send more troops to afghanistan then the USA will not remove any of their troops. It has too much interest in the region at the moment. Does anyone know of bondsteel? its the biggest foreign military base america has in europe, how stupid are you to think they will suddenly pull out?

KS, even by posting these "equations" here, you are demonstrating your lack of knowledge in regard of basic english grammar rules...

thanks to god, the average American knows his language a little bit better than you do...

but I don´t want to waste my time with your wrong grammar here.

Whether you choose to say "serb camp does not know" or
"serb camp do not know" is your preference, that is your prerogative.
Furthermore I am an American and you don't speak for all Americans, only yourself.

Just watch what unfolds to the Kurdish freedom fighters/terrorists (or whatever flavour the state department chooses), after the Turkish assault that killed 11 soldiers..

Watch what happened/happens to the Kurds up until now, and perhaps the Albanians will learn better, what US foreign policy is all about..

Mr. Isufi says...“Serb camp on this site don't know much about US politics.”

Correct English is-doesn’t know-not “don’t know”.

How is it that you know more about US politics then me, when I was born and raised in the US?
Your characterization of an individual’s independent thought into a ‘camp’ is unfortunate. In America, people speak independently and each individual is accountable for his or her actions and thoughts.
It is you who doesn’t know or understand the US people and their politics.

Mr. Gordon you hit it right on the target. Serb camp on this site don't know much about US politics. Remember Monteith military base that while back was handed over to KPC(TMK), and beleive me there is a lot of military hardware that went along when handover took place.
But I am not worried to much about Bondsteel, just like I did not worry about Monteith.

yes that camp will be turned over to EU forces and the US will leave they left bosnia and kosovo is next. I believer the EU told GW Bush to mind his own business and stay out of there affairs.

I posted a while back that the US and the EU dont like each other any more, its not 1999. This became obvious before the Iraq invasion and now this dislike of each other is beginning to manifest itself in Kosovo. The US now knows that the EU is not going to follow them in supporting a unilateral declaration of independence for the sake of preserving EU unity, so now they are looking for an excuse to leave while trying to save face, this Afghanistan issue they are referring to is exactly that. The serbs dont want the US in Kosovo, neither does the the EU, the EU is content to run an autonomous kosovo south of the Ibar at least without the US. Pretty soon even the kosovo albanian muslim extremist elements wont want the US there once they realise the US cant deliver on their promise of independence. The EU wont help a squirming US in the middle east you can be sure, they dont care about America's problems

By pinning the U.S. commitment in Kosovo to Europe's commitment in Afghanistan, Gates wants to signal that Europe will be left alone to deal with a still unsteady situation in its own backyard if it does not help the United States in Afghanistan.

No one in Europe wants to go to Afghanistan that is why he is in the Ukraine a non NATO member begging for help.

What's up with this? The albanians claiming that the US is behind the independence of KosovO, but on another side of the coin, they are planning on troop withdrawl!

The US had enough failure with the middle east embarassment. Why should they give in to a bunch of extremists?

Some posters here are so funny. Guys, guys, guys...The Bondie Camp is a millenia-type of "commitment". It will be there for the next 7 generations. Is it gonna be a good or bad thing for Balkans in the long term, I don't know. But I know for now, it's the best thing we have ever had. It makes extremers from all sides to think twice before taking any "creazy" action like that of Srebrenica...if some of you still remember.

What Mr. Secretary is saying is: Kosova issue will be resolved right before me move troops onto another unresolved issue, and that is...now!

" by the way, don´t the Albanians slowly come to the conclusion that they are being duped??? "

This why the US created the term Rhetoric. It's up to Serbs, Russians and EU to choose what they want to believe what the US is saying. As for Albanians, we know the US will not 'invest' in such a large undertaking as Bondsteel or even NATO/Marshall Plan unless there is a total return on the investment. This Kosova/Bondsteel investment has yet to go into the black. :)

Things are rarely as they appear with the Americans. The withdrawl of US forces in KosMet will be a virtual diplomatic green light to the KLA/UCK leadership to undertake the Kosovska uluja that has been long planned and the logistics already in place for. With Washington, one must first understand their psychology, then know how to read between the lines.

so sad I do not remember which of the albanian posters it was who boasted only a few days ago that the US will stay forever, and that Camp Bondsteel is their new Mecca...

whatever happens, Serbia is well prepared, and every attempt to cleanse the remaining Serbs from their land will be prevented.

by the way, don´t the Albanians slowly come to the conclusion that they are being duped???

Kosova should have its own army, a professional one and fully integrated with NATO. There would be no need for foreign troops after that.

You can ask american that and they will tell you the same. Bush vetoed a bill that was some kind of health care for children. Why? I say worry about your own people first then everyone else. Lets bring all our troops home and let other countries deal with there own problems.
