So Bush has no problem meeting the Dalai Lama amid Chinese protests, but feels the need to quickly rush into damage control to appease Turkey over the Armenian Genocide, and event which took place nearly 100 years ago.

Shows you that all politics is not only local, it's strategically linked to one's national interest.
